Marriott brands in NYC

Is it my imagine or is there literally NO Marriott of any brand above 54th Street in Manhattan?

Your imagination. Off the top of my head, the Essex House is on Central Park South.

I didn't realize Essex was a Marriott property, but it certainly didn't make any sense to me that there weren't any properties above 56th. Oddly though, when I look at Marriott's website, whether I put in my specific dates or leave them blank, the map view shows absolutely nothing above 56th or below 28th. Weird.

Downtown Marriott (Albany Street)

Residence Inn World Trade Center

Ritz Carlton Battery Park

ETA: Ahh, I see what you are doing. That is weird. I can move the map to Lower Manhattan, but how do you refresh the hotel list?

It used to work, refreshing automatically as you moved the map. Or at least I thought so -- I rarely use the map interface.

It looks like the map view corresponds to the hotels listed on the "list" view. go to page two, then click map view, and those hotels are shown.

Refreshing automatically as you move the map makes more sense.
