Stays Not Posting
Anyone else noticed that their stays haven't posted to their Marriott Rewards accounts in the past week or so?
99% of my stays post 2 days after I check out. This week I'm missing a stay that should have posted Tuesday morning, and another that should have posted this morning. Both are properties that I stay in frequently and always get posted promptly. |
Yeah, in the 3 times I've stayed at a Marriott in the past two months, it's taken up to a week for the stays to post. But they do always post.

I had a stay Monday that posted Thursday.

I had a stay last Tuesday post in the usual 2-day timeframe. It seems to be clockwork for me (unlike Hyatt).

I can't remember one single time when they did not post. Sometimes they even post the same day I check out.
BUT, for me at least, it's way too often incorrect amount of points and sometimes maybe just points post but not the stay/nights. Now latest this week only supplement I paid for a junior suite posted and even that only for one night. Nightly base rates, the elite bonus, the welcome points and qualifying nights/stay did not post. And what annoys me is that CS asks to fax the bill to them. I don't know about US and other developing countries, but where I live nobody has used fax for about 10 years now. But then again, some countries still use cheques as well... |

This is definitely happening to me:
Check out 7/11 - Posted 7/24 Check out 7/19 - Still hasn't posted I haven't stayed in a Marriott for several years so I thought my account might be funky but when I emailed customer service after the first stay didn't post they said it was fine. Miraculously right after that email the first stay posted. Additionally my bills say they will email the bill to me at my correct email address however I never get anything...anyone else have that problem? The points delay I can deal with but the e-bill would be much better if it was quick so I don't have to scan the print out for my expense report. |
I have stays that have been late, but nothing so far that hasn't posted in the 10 days they tell you to wait to fill out the form (except for a stay at Newport Beach last year, probably about a year ago)

First 3 Ritz stays did not post- had to call.(past 2 years)
Stayed at Ritz twice with a Marriott full service stay in between during Asia trip this month. 2 Ritz stays have not posted will need to call. The Marriott stay posted automatically in 3 days. Anyone else have this issue? It's becoming bit of a pain! |
I've had 2 stays in the last 2.5 months not post. Both were DC area FS hotels. It's really annoying checking on it afterwards, waiting the 10 days, filing a missing credit form, not getting a response, calling the platinum line, etc. And, for one, the reservation came with 2500 bonus points which still haven't posted (it's been over one month now). I called and they asked that I email my reservation (which shows the bonus); they said they'd credit it once they received that. Nothing. I got so annoyed I wrote a USPS letter and included the reservation print out; that was about 1.5 weeks ago, and still nothing.
What a pain. Never had any of these issues and now 2 in short order. |
Mine usually post next day, but occasionally the hotel or the Marriott central system has a blip and it takes a few days more.

Had a March full-service Marriott stay (Brooklyn) not post, though MR number was in the reservation. Agent researched it with the property and it had failed to post due to the way in which the hotel displayed my first name and title. Agent was able to add it within a few minutes, including bonus points for the lounge being closed on the weekend.

Checked out of one Marriott Wednesday morning, got the thanks for staying email Friday. Checked out of another Thursday morning, got the email Friday. Neither one has posted yet. Anyone else noticing the delay?
