ATTENTION PLEASE: Information and data collection on rebranded properties???
Does anyone have a list or knows any hotels which have been rebranded to Marriott from another brand or rebranded from Marriott to other chains? Let's start a big thread herewith throwing in all hotels we know that have ever been under Marriott management!!!
I know that the Hyatt Regency Hilton Head Island was rebranded to Marriott Hilton Head Beach Resort. Muerz |
LA Marriott (downtown) was rebranded - not sure from who - Sheraton maybe.
|
Pittsburgh Airport Marriott now a Wyndham. What a shame. Same with Roanoke VA
|
San Mateo Marriott used to be a privately owned hotel I believe ... brought into the fold a couple of years ago.
|
All the Susse Chalet properties in the Balt/Wash area have become FF Inns. CY Fishermans Wharf in SFO was a Ramada (a real substandard CY)
|
The Baton Rouge (Louisiana) Marriott near College Drive used to be a Hilton. It is located on Hilton Drive!

Swallow hotel in Bristol United Kingdom rebranded a Marriott (shame really)
|
The Marriott Resort in Puerto Rico used to be the Dupont before a big fire (late 80's?)

Park City Marriott was taken over by Marriott approximately 3 years ago according to employees. Sorry, I do not know what brand it was before. Marriott did millions of dollars of improvements.
|
PHL Hilton was formerly a Marriott.

Sheraton Brookhollow was a Marriott in Houston. Renaissance in Biscayne Bay was something else. Waterford in OKC I could go on for about ten more what's the point.

GG,
SAT's Plaza San Antonio began as a Four Seasons over 20 years ago. I don't know if there were other owners in between 4 Seasons and Marriott. Marriott has a heavy share of the downtown business. [This message has been edited by paradocs (edited 01-03-2002).] |
