How often does Marriott update the list?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think this is an exhaustive list, but Marriott does have this: Marriott Rewards PointSavers

The funny thing is that when I did a search on some properties in N.Cal, there are more properties that are on point savers that are not on Marriott's list.

Does anyone know whether I can use the e-cert that I earned from Megabonus to a point saver Cat. 5 hotel?

Thanks in advance!

I was told no. A Cat. 1-4 cert can only be used at a Cat. 1-4 hotel with availability. (And even though the points may be the same, its still a Cat. 5 and requires a Cat. 5 cert.)

Mega Bonus is for Cat. 1-4, so the answer would def. be No.

Thanks for the link.
Guess I never really look for these, I just book rooms where and when I need them. I guess I will have to start being a little more conservative with my points now.

There are definitely more properties that do pointsaver than the list. Just found another one in SJC area that has pointsavers.

There is a disclaimer on that page:

"Listed below is just a sample of the Marriott hotels offering PointSavers. Use "Find a Hotel" to the right to check on availability at the locations you're considering."

I wish they would provide a full list, but someone would have to keep it updated.

Thanks.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I think Marriott deliberately not publishing a list because it doesn't want some properties to appear 'cheap'. I started to click use Marriott Rewards points when I'm searching for rooms even though I'm not expecting to use points - you never know what pops up.

I also wish they have a list like PC pointbreak.

I could be wrong, but I always thought no property offered them all (or even most) of the time. Offering them at slow times of the year - or during a short time frame where bookings were below normal - would make a list almost impossible to maintain, as it would change too often.

Would it be possible to start a thread like current pointsaver offer? So people can contribute if they have seen/booked the offer.

I would think Marriott could do something like what Priority Club does for its PointBreaks awards. They update that list every couple of months with the hotels that are currently participating in the Points Break awards. Marriott could do the same thing.
