Marriott Website...waiting forever

When I try to do a booking on the marriott.com website (Mac + Firefox) I have the wheel spin on forever on their website. Even after 30 mins there is no response. I do not have ....... or anything on.

This has been happening for some months for now. Anyone else have an issue?

no issue here....

No issue here either. Have you cleaned out your cache and cookies and such?

Yes. That gets cleaned out after every session.

I can search for properties, but when I get to the list and select a property the waiting begins. This has been an issue ever since they changed their website some months ago.

Never bothered too much as you need to call Marriott for making every darn reservation with a corporate rate. But to make personal reservations, I like to do the booking myself and not go through the toll free.

Haven't had the problem but I'm on IE.

Did you contact websupport to let them know, or someone so that they can look into it?

Cheers.

I had a similar problem with firefox and Windows when the new website launched as well. I found that throttling back my otherwise strict security settings seemed to do the trick. I think something that occurs when you select a property from the map-view list was timing out due to one of those security settings.

I can still recreate the problem today by removing Marriott from my trusted site list and leaving my security setting at my normal level.

I have not called Websupport yet. Anytime I call Marriott for something other than booking a hotel room, I get passed on to pretty much all the departments at Marriott with no one even having a clue of what needs to be done. Rather than waste my time on the call forwarding, I will just book it elsewhere.

Just checking if the website works fine for everyone.

That could be it. I guess it reflects on how nosy Marriott web portal is if it requires looser security settings.
