Complementary Dry cleaning for Golds at JW?

I was at the JW Marriott in Mexico City recently and got 5 pieces of free dry cleaning (they upgraded me to a suite). Was that a fluke or was it because of my status/room type?

While I have no idea if dry cleaning is a perk offered at this specific property, I can say this much, the J.W. Marriott Mexico city treats their elites very well.

I have stayed there 10 times and all 10 times I have been upgraded to a nice suite and generally I am welcomed by some sort of manager.

While I do not really expect any special treatment, it is a really nice change from most Marriott properties.

question.....

i work at one of Marriott franchises.... i have a question.... how can we the workers communicate with the owner Bill Marriott?
Remember it's not all about the customers the associates plays a big role in the company.....

I'm currently staying at a JW (different property) & no offer of free drycleaning for this Plat. So a fluke or something specific to that property. It's not a perk I'd be clamoring for, as there are more that I'd like to see reinstated first.

I thought you were going to say how to communicate with your customers, and this forum would be one way. But I am perplexed why you're asking those who are on an internet bulletin board how to communicate w/ Bill Marriott. Presumably there are internal methods on doing so. PS - Welcome to Flyertalk!

Cheers.

All associate matters report directly to Bill - I'm sure he'd appreciate any feedback, his address is:

J. Willard Marriott Jr.
Chairman/CEO
Marriott International
10400 Fernwood Road
Bethesda, MD

Another method is to contact the regional franchise manager responsible for your hotel - your GM should have the individual's contact information (or can be very easily found on the Marrweb/MGS intranet site, although I would recommend going through your franchise company first)

i had the same thing happen to me when i stayed there a couple times back in 03-04. super great staff and i got a suite upgrade for one of the trips.

memories of mexico:

big glass showers, nice view of the polo grounds, huge thick towels, 2 wakeup calls in the morning, excellent tortilla soup and a great italian restaurant across the street from the hotel.

one funny story. the mexico peso symbol is like the dollar (in fact, they used it before we did). when i first got the room, i opened up the room service menu and the prices were something like: soup $270, salad $400, sandwich $900, etc... Totally freaked me out for a moment.... :p

Pune Marriott offers some free laundry/dry cleaning for plats, don't recall exactly how many pieces it was.
