Use of M12 code

Hi I managed to get a Gold membership and need to book a stay.

Can I use M12 code as a Gold member?

Thanks

Yes, you shouldn't have any issues using the M12 rate code. It is for Marriott Rewards elite members and you are an elite.

Yes. M12 is for elite members of Marriott's reward programs, so if you're at the Gold level you're entitled to use it. Sometimes it has good pricing; sometimes other pricing is better. Cheers.

Try E0G (zero, not the letter "o"), as well.

Sometimes that can come up with a decent rate.

What are M12 and E0G codes? I recently became Platinum but do not know about all the benefits.

They're discount codes for Marriott stays. They're not always valid, but it's always worth a try when you're booking a stay.

E0G is for Golds; if you're Platinum, you can use E0P. I don't know that they'll be that different very often, though.

There are a bunch more codes - see the sticky.

Thank you. I am trying to book in NYC but it looks like the codes are not valid for the Marquis or Ren Times Square but good to have these handy for future reference.

Indeed. Sometimes the M11 is cheaper than the M12.

My way of booking is to book the lowest rate I can find, usually AAA or Senior, and put my MR number in ... they always seem to know I'm PLT and don't have to ask for an upgrade, etc. Anytime I've tried the other codes they don't seem to show much difference, but usually higher than AA or Sr. Those with more experience than me might comment on my proceedure.

When I tried to use M11 and/or M12, rarely could I get a better rate than using AAA.
