This property used to be called Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero.

* The hotel is in a great location. About a 5 min walk to the Victor Hugo metro and 10 mins to the Trocadero metro.

* A Casino Supermarket right around the corner (right out the door, right at 1st intersection then a 1-2 minute walk on the left side of street)

I didn't mention the nightly turndown service with two miniature Toblerone bars, or the paperback picture book of Paris and a thank you note from the concierge staff in the room our last night thanking us for choosing their hotel as our home in Paris. This was a classy joint, and I only wish it wouldn't take me ten years to earn enough points to stay there again.
Wow - if I ever get to Paris I definitely have to try this hotel!

Cheers.

When I asked about buying a shirt with a Roland Garros logo (the stadium shop can only be accessed by ticket holders during the French Open) one of the desk clerks called several stores trying to locate one for me. We were running late for a dinner reservation one night and the concierge gladly called the restaurant for us to let them know we were just leaving the hotel, and made a reservation for a taxi that took Visa when we left for the airport. They held our bags when we arrived early and they were waiting for us in the room when we returned, and held them again the day we left and we never even saw them get loaded into the taxi as we departed.

I stayed there a couple of years ago, largely by accident, and found it to be quite the hidden jewel. I'd definitely stay there again.

Any recent update to this property. Am considering 5 night points stay end December. I am Platinum. Particularly interested in location as I have stayed in most other Paris Marriots (and competitor brands throughout Paris) but never in Trocadero area, wifi quality, do they usually upgrade Platinums, any additional Plat benefits besides breakfast? Am considering this hotel or Republique.
Thanks in advance!

Any updates? I'm looking for somewhere to celebrate my birthday on points.

I was given a larger room, as for my arrival gift took the cheese plate and half bottle of wine - was great because we were tired and didn't feel like eating at one of the cafe's around the hotel.

Full breakfast was included as there was no lounge and overall had a great selection - wasn't worth the 60$ euro price tag for both of us to eat but was included as a platinum member.

Hotel was quainte , decorated in a modern style and fit the need perfectly for our one night in Paris . Was walking distance to Eiffel Tower, the metro and the arc du triomphe. It was 50$ euro taxi ride from the CDG airport and I didn't bother with public transportation during the weekend as we expected little traffic during our stay.

I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I'd stay here again but I'm not convinced it's a 5*. Perhaps a 4* or 4.5*?

I contacted them in advance to let them know I'd be celebrating my birthday. Two days out, I was preallocated an Eiffel Tower junior suite but then given a deluxe garden view (so ultimately a 1 category upgrade). Not a huge deal, though it was pretty tiny, even compared to an entry level room at the Marriott CDG.

The hotel has a great location. It's walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, and there are several bakeries, stores and metro stops nearby. There's also a Pizza Hut / McDonald's relatively close if you feel like eating something a bit closer to home, but iirc, France's pizza huts go overboard with the mozzarella whereas McDonald's is actually pretty good.

Anyways, when i returned to my room, there was a bottle of champagne and a plate of delicious and much appreciated treats waiting for me, along with a card signed by the front desk staff. Since I don't drink, they quickly switched out the champagne for juice (one bottle of peach, one bottle of Apple).

My main complaint is that in the morning, I needed a hair dryer and dental kit, and neither were in the room. Nobody responded to messages on the app either. I called the front desk and asked for both to be sent up, but, 30 minutes later, nothing had arrived. I went out for a bit (leaving the DND sign inside), and it still hadn't arrived. Finally, 3h later I called again and it arrived more quickly. Also, the walls are thin: the couple next door was having a heated discussion, and it was pretty easy to make out what they were saying.

Breakfast was great. They had a really good selection, and it was all delicious. The orange juice was good too.

I just completed 4 nights at this hotel. As a Plat, I was proactively upgraded to a 1-bedroom executive suite (a 2 level room!). That was pretty sweet. The room itself was pretty standard Ren quality - nice, clean, modern. As others mentioned, there is a nightly turn down service (which includes a few mini Toblerone's) plus housekeeping. I also got a large bottle of Avian water every day. Lobby has free coffee in the mornings. Didn't try the restaurant aside from the free breakfast.

I will say this was probably the best buffet breakfast option of any Marriott property I've been to. Everything was delicious, and the mini crepes were a standout. Def glad I had it free every day!

The hotel is in a great location. About a 5 min walk to the Victor Hugo metro and 10 mins to the Trocadero metro. I was able to get everywhere via the metro very easily. If you stay here there's a wonderful bakery called A La Petit right by Victor Hugo. So delicious. There's also a little supermarket next door that sells some great wine and cheese for very reasonable prices.

I had some service issues in the beginning. I selected the petite fours as my arrival gift. I come back after a long day and find some kind of raw salmon in my room instead. I do not eat seafood and now my room smelled of salmon. I called down and asked what was going on. Apparently they were out of the pastries and decided I wanted salmon instead. I asked them to come take it away and replace it with the cheese tray. 2 hours later I was still waiting. I left the salmon outside my door overnight, and had to re ask for the cheese plate and re explain the whole situation to the front desk the next morning. My cheese plate finally arrived that night. Also, the room had 2 wine glasses to start with. After I used both (I was in France, after all) they took away the dirty wine glasses but never replaced them. I found this very odd for France.

I didn't spend too much time at the property (I was always out and about) but it seems like an excellent option, esp if you do a lot of touristy things. Just watch your stuff. I put my backpack down at the bus stop waiting for the bus to CDG and someone stole it right from under my nose

Thanks for the updates! I've been in contact with the staff for my week long 2 room stay in March and they've been great thus far. Looking forward to it.

I checked in today for a one night stay before changing properties tomorrow. No mention of any upgrade as Plat. I selected a plate of cold cuts as arrival gift, but they brought me a cheese plate. The glass they brought for my beer was filthy. I used one of two that was already in the room.
Key card wouldn't open the door so I had to go back down to reception. The girl recoded my key and came back to the room with me to ensure it worked.
Location seems very good. A Casino Supermarket right around the corner (right out the door, right at 1st intersection then a 1-2 minute walk on the left side of street).
Bathroom is tiny. Shower has one of those ridiculous half glass doors. I got water ALL over the bathroom floor. Found two long black hairs in the shower. My profile calls for extra towels, but only 2 sets are in the room.
Only one mini Toblerone for turndown service.
Minibar is very cold.
AC works great.
Lots of nicks in walls/furniture. Paint is bubbling up in several locations on the walls. Stains in carpeting.
No desk...just a round table in the corner with one chair.
Thin walls. I can hear neighbors on both sides and cars on the street below. I'm on 6th floor (of 7).
Large bed.
Uber from terminal 2F was E45.
Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.

Side note: Why do most Marriott properties outside the US still have an address on file from where I lived three homes ago?

Thanks for the update. Sounds like the property needs a renovation. Please post re: the breakfast situation so I can update the exec lounge sticky. I hate those half glass doors too. Always need to spread towels on the floor to avoid slipping/walling when the floor gets wet.

Cheers.

I stayed here a week over Spring Break in two rooms. Full Breakfast was provided in the restaurant as a PLAT. The breakfast was quite good for a buffet, but was the exact same everyday. That said you could order off the menu as well, and it was included.

Breakfast was included as a Plat. You can sit indoors or outdoors. They had cans of Pepsi & Pepsi Max which I loved because I don't drink coffee, but still need caffeine. A decent selection of foods. The only thing I didn't like was that one of the selections was a dish of mushrooms. They disgust me and I could smell the odor throughout the dining area. If I were to return (which I won't), I'd just sit outdoors.
