The publicly available codes on this thread are working as far as we know. Please note that not every code will work for every property worldwide.
The best thing to do, rather than just posting "I'm staying at (fill in the blank)/does anyone have a code", is to try all the codes first. As such, this thread is not for "cheaper rate" requests.
Note that It's highly unlikely that FTers will find a code that isn't already listed based on a one-off request.
If the code is available at the property, it will show that/rate. If it's isn't available, it will let you know that. Please note that if if one (or more) code is available, only you can determine if the cost savings fits with your budget. If it does, great. If not, you might want to try and see if the property has a local promotion going or if you can use LNF (Look No Further/Best Rate Guarantee) for a better rate. Also note that sometimes a publicly available code may show a higher rate than just a regular booking. Not always, but sometimes.

Yes, as it doesn't fall under their jurisdiction being a civil offence. The property has every right to file suit and probably will for a large enough payback. Unfortunately the publicity would cause more harm than they could ever hope of getting a recovery. That's way a lot of out-of-court settlements include a non-disclosure clause so both parties can fly under the radar to avoid the media.

You would need quite a pattern of SET abuse - and demonstrable abuse, at that - to get a hotel chain (forget a specific property) to file a claim against you to recover money.

I believe I eluded to an unlikely situation, but I can see if the abuse is discovered to have been going on for a long time (say six months into a nine-month project of weekly stays) the dollar loss can be substantial and more than a slap on the wrist of saying not anymore. Again, unlikely since they might look like a fool for not finding it sooner.

can anyone please recommend a discount code for San Francisco three night (weekend) in June. An economy style visit is the plan. I was SPG prior and got a lot of use out of the Z*H/Z*R codes of way back. I haven't traveled since the merger and I'm thinking about shelving my plans after getting nowhere on the bonvoy site tonight!

As a point of reference, in my 1500+ nights at Starwood/Marriott and 1000+ nights at Hilton, a large fraction of them on Corporate Rates for clients or other associated companies, I have NEVER been asked to produce a company ID nor have I ever been asked to produce an AAA or AARP card. Now maybe I look honest, but I don't understand what all this fuss is about.

Yes you can get your self screwed using an IBM rate
never use ibm in bangkok. I can tell you from experience that without a company id or ibm business card they will charge you rackrate of the day for that room.
dont ever try it at the Westin, Fourpoints, SGS these hotels will instantly request the id before arrival via email or request it at check in no exceptions. I had booked 2 rooms once and my friend had to pay rack which was double the price as we could only present one valid ibm business card.

Just tried searching with three later corporate code, I see that the app is padding the search with a bunch of zeros and getting a notification that the code is invalid.

I presume, if they had been more industrious, they could have stung him for the full rack rate and perhaps even closed his Marriott account down for obvious use of inappropriate code.
I don't use codes that I'm not entitled to but if others want to have a go then fine with me, just be prepared to pay up if you get caught (which I admit is not that likely)
