You can call after you receive your BRG since a hotel is not allowed to cancel or modify a stay with a BRG.

It might be better to find out now if the rate is public rather than waiting until you arrive.

Hi CKL, The rate rules don't give much away, do they? In view of the fact that you have had BRG success using this rate, it is unlikely that it includes anything like tickets as that, in itself, would be enough to get your claim denied (it would be classed as a package).

The rate must be public as CKL has had a Look No Further claim approved using it as a comparison.

You're right. Thats what I get for not reading the whole conversation.

I did not know that PKG rates were excluded from the LNF. I guess that it makes sense since it wouldn't be 'same room vs. same room'.

I am not calling the hotel, I hope that they don't pull that LPR so that others might get a cheap weekend visit to DC with it! :D^

Not all PKG rates are excluded from Look No Further. For example, I once had a successful claim where PKG showed a Stay For Breakfast rate that was cheaper than S4B! It all depends upon what the rate includes. Anything over and above breakfast (eg dinner, drinks, tickets) and it will get rejected.

I agree on keeping quiet about the 'Elevator' rate!

One I've come across recently when looking at Marriott's here in the UK is CFY - Can't Beat Friday. Depending upon the property, it requires either arrival on a Friday or can only be used on a Friday. Sometimes the rate is a discounted breakfast-inclusive one or I've also seen it give free dinner in the hotel's cafe bar on the Friday night.

Anyone know if Marriott has changed the M11 and M12 codes to something else? I can't get them to work anymore.

NDDomer86 Mar 16, 2008 9:28 am

Hmm they still work for me. I used them to book a 104 rate at the Crystal Gateway this past Fri and also used it for downtown Philadelphia this coming Thursday.

I was just looking at using the M11 code for an early May stay in the Caymans and found availability.

What is Safeco's code @ Marriott?

Hmm, if you don't know then presumably you don't have access to it ;) And Safeco doesn't actually sound like a - oh I don't know - publicly available rate. But that's just me. If it is, someone please post.

Cheers.
