Does anyone know if the VSA rate is a Corporate or a caldholder rate?
On the marriott page when putting in VSA, it comes up with the below "VISA Global Recognition rate"Hard to say from this is it is a corporate or cardholder rate. Thanks |

I find it disappointing that neither Amex Platinum nor Amex Bonvoy have any special corporate codes available to its holders.
Is there any public codes that actually wok for Marriott hotels in Asia, or Japan specifically? Tried most of the in the Wiki and they don't work for properties outside of N. America. |

As a point of reference, in my 1500+ nights at Starwood/Marriott and 1000+ nights at Hilton, a large fraction of them on Corporate Rates for clients or other associated companies, I have NEVER been asked to produce a company ID nor have I ever been asked to produce an AAA or AARP card. Now maybe I look honest, but I don't understand what all this fuss is about.

Marriott now require you to enter your AAA number before being allowed to proceed.

And I'm pretty sure they don't check it - it could be expired or someone else's.
Also related to your previous post in this thread, I have found some properties always ask for validation of eligibility for a rate at check in time (even with electronic check in). Some rate codes also trigger validation at check in time though granted that would typically be for corporate rates that have been heavily abused. Bottomline, only use the rate codes you're truly eligible for and you won't encounter any issues. Even so, you may be asked to prove your eligibility at check in (business card, corporate id, letter of authorization, etc.) --Jon |

They do have some validation on the AAA number. When I fat fingered mine when entering it for a reservation, it came back with an error. That said the validation logic may be just for a number that conforms to the AAA member number syntax. Not sure if they are doing any kind of real time actual authentication against the AAA membership database.

AAA number required again both in the App and website.

We've been asked to show the AAA card at more than one property when using the rate

I'm trying to book a reservation and I don't know where to insert the promotional code A1764 (see link to promo below).
In fact I cannot find any promo code field at all. Does this mean it just automatically applies? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you https://www.marriott.com/specials/me...01&co=WW&nt=PH |
On the reservation page for any of the listed hotels, you should see a text box for the check-in and check-out dates, the number of rooms and number of persons, and also a "Special Rates" text box. Click that one. You should see one of the options is "Corporate/Promo/Rate #". Click it and at the bottom of that pop-up window there should be a text box titled "Enter Code". Enter your code there.
Note that if you click to the participating hotels through that Bonus Offer webpage, the tool will probably pre-populate the code in the special rate box. |

Any codes usable in India especially Mumbai? Have to travel frequently for consulting business, most of the publicly available codes don't seem to work here at least.
