Thanks! I have stayed there before but it's been a few years. Probably going to stay here over the Ren as I recall I liked it (and that was when it was in the middle of construction which I hope is over!)

The construction is over so to speak (I'm actually here right now). They still have to renovate some of their rooms though but from my understanding it's being delayed talking to the lady at the front desk. I definitely prefer this over the Ren, and the walk off the strip is super easy (a whole 4 minutes). You can usually get some great views as well.

They will send you an email in advance of your staff seeing if there is anything special you want to request. Ask them for one of the renovated rooms - some of their rooms are not renovated yet. Even their old rooms though were not bad.

I can confirm what the other responded with, valet parking only and no resort fees.

There really is only one downfall, they usually don't have taxis waiting like the strip hotels so they always have to turn the lights on....on the flip side though, there is usually never a line to get a taxi here

With the light on though, it usually only takes 3-5 mins for one to show up.

Thanks for the update. I have an annual biz trip at the convention, so I stay at the Marriott as it's across the street from the CC. But if I wanted a strip property I'd stay here based on the trip reports.

Cheers.

I stayed on opening night (a few years ago) and several times since. The rooms are large.

I had a great experience at this property last year. The rooms are big, the front desk and valet are very courteous.

Sadly this stay hasn't been so great. I check out Monday but may try to leave Saturday. Major service issues with backed up sewage in the guest rooms and water main breaking leaving all guests without running water. They brought us those small bottles of water you find in the lounges (4 per room) but sucked as we were not able to bathe and when we needed to use the bathroom were sent to a neighboring property (miracle mile shops) to use their facilities. They are not giving guests compensation as the pressure valves inside their hotel are apparently out of their control even though it was their people who are replacing the valves inside the building. Lots of guests complaining but problem is finally resolved.

YIKES!

I actually decided just to stay one night at Aria before my convention and the first night at the Courtyard not far from the airport. I get in late so this seemed the best compromise!

Smile Video Review

I recently stayed at the Grand Chateau and did a video review:

The rooms are indeed huge with a FULL kitchen... seriously everything is in the kitchen you'd need to cook anything, including a pizza cutter. Also, a clothes washing machine and dryer in the room. My biggest complaint, it is all valet parking, and the valet parking often took 15-20 minutes to get my car in the morning.

Any update. Booked a great rate there in early January. I am hoping they still don't have a resort fee, if they do there are probably other options.

I was looking at some dates on Marriott.com the other day, and they didn't mention a resort fee during the booking process, which Marriott is typically good at including in the Taxes/Fees portion of bookings when they are charged. I would assume that Grand Chateau still does not have a resort fee, and they still have free valet as well.

Thanks! Based on my research it appears there still isn't a resort fee. The week I am in Vegas there are some great rates, but after you add a $30 resort fee to a $30 room you might as well spend the $84 and get a nicer room at the Marriott.

I was there this weekend. The location is excellent and rooms are spacious and well equipped with a full kitchen and washer / dryer.

One thing I really like is the fact that there’s no casino in the building. I don’t like loud and smoky spaces in any hotel I stay in.

Do we receive any Platinum benefits at this "Vacation Club" property? I've never stayed at a Vacation Club before.

Just there last weekend. When you book, you’ll get an email that says you won’t be getting much in the way of benefits—no breakfast, no lounge, no upgrades, and no late checkout. You do get points and 500 as the PAG.

That being said, we had a spacious one bedroom suite with a full kitchen and a nice view. We’d readily stay here again.

OK, good to know. Do stays here at least earn elite night credits and points?
