Yes. It is odd. And they almost never upgrade to them. I did get lucky one time and got one last year. It was really nice and I don't understand why it's not bookable.

SNA upgrade here?

Has anyone been able to use a SNA upgrade here?

I tried to request it online four days before arrival and the system wouldn't let me.

I called the SPG platinum line today, Monday, (for check-in on Thursday) and was told that I didn't request far enough in advance, in total contradiction of what is on the SPG website.

I'm on hold right now waiting for a supervisor to straighten this out. Hoping that this gets resolved soon.

Follow-up: The rep came back on and told me that I didn't request it far enough in advance. What! Then she told me that they don't have any suites available anyway. :-(

They only have 6 suites at this hotel --- so very hard to get.

update on Breakfast -- a large downgrade--now Yogurt Parfait with Blueberry Muffin, Juice and Coffee. No buy-ups allowed. Can sub Yogurt Parfait for Oatmeal. Can sub Blueberry Muffin for toast.

My experiences at this property put it among the worst in the starwood chain.

The staff was apathetic, the recognition for platinum was non- existent and the hotel itself was bland.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else unless you have to stay here.

Any recent stays? Looking at this property as I need to be close to Boulder for a wedding.

Front Desk recently told me that Sales uses these "suites" a lot for special events and corporate events (as this hotel has a large corporate crowd and is connected to a suburban convention center) so they frequently are unavailable in the upgrade pool.

At the moment, all of the "suites" are under renovation anyways so not available to anyone.

I stayed recently and they allowed $14 per person at Kachina. $14 was the exact cost of the continental breakfast on the menu, but the server allowed me to apply the value towards anything and no one ever said it was restricted to 1 menu combo - both Front Desk and restaurant said it was $14 credit. Kachina has a tasty breakfast and is a legit restaurant.

Any recent stay experience, and elite benefits?

After a conference in at Marriott Denver Tech Center, will stay for a few more days and thinking to stay around here to be closer to Rocky Mountain NP.

The hotel is fine although it's showing quite a bit of age. I go to CO often as it's where I grew up and stay at either the Marriott Westminster (first choice) across US36 or the Renaissance Boulder Flatiron. I find my stays are much better at those hotels.

Do you know if this Westin or the Marriott have a lounge for evening food/drinks? Thanks.

I'm not positive on the Westin's lounge situation, but the Marriott does have a M Lounge but it's only snack/refreshments/water and no evening food/drinks. Breakfast at both is at the restaurants.

no lounge at the Westin
