citizenM Geneva, Switzerland [Master Thread]

This was my first stay at a Citizen M property. I have to say I was positively impressed. It shares some common things with Moxy (trendy co-working space, a central bar), but is generally a league better.

I stayed at a cash rate of around 150 EUR which was much better than the rather pricey 45k points.

I did the self service check in and was offered 500 points or a F&B credit. I took the credit.

The sink is separate and in the hallway.

I found the bed to be comfy. Not having direct floor access on both sides might be bothersome if you are not staying alone.

A deal with USB-A outlets and even a UK outlet.

The bathroom had a proper door to the toilet and a door to the shower, so the bathroom does not get flooded when showering.

Storage space and the safe. The tv remote can be found here. You can control the tv from the iPad also.

Overall I was inmpressed by the property, the quality and cleanliness. I would certainly consider staying again, particularly when traveling alone. The only thing that I missed in the room was a drinking glass. I had to get one from downstairs.

The location of the hotel is very good.

This hotel does not offer parking. I overheard a conversation that the hotel can stamp your ticket for a 20% discount on the nearby Montblanc parking. I did not have a car. So I did not get to try this out.

One other thing that impressed me - the Geneva Transport card. It is paid for by the mandatory tourist tax. What I thought was good about it in particular is that I received it by email before arriving to Geneva. This allowed me to take the airport transportation for free. Often the tourist tax benefits (if any) only get activated once your reach the hotel.

In Basel, you can use the transport to your hotel by showing your hotel reservation before receiving the card at check-in.

How much was the F&B credit? Was it given to each of the staying guest per day? Have you tried their breakfast?
