How long are you willing to wait for a Cappuccino at lobby bar ?

...before loosing patience ?

Maybe my expectations are too high.

I’m having a 1 night stay at Courtyard JFK.

-No customers to be served at reception
-no customers (except me) to be served at lobby bar
-3 ladies from staff present (1 at front desk + 2 in office)

the only one lady supposed to manage my request, was doing “phone calls to some customers”

simply asked 3 times for a Cappucino at front desk and had to wait more than 20 minutes, before loosing my patience...

had my cappuccino 30 seconds after have lost my patience...

What is nornally your tolerance limit on this kind of situation?

I find myself using the expression “wow, just wow” for the second consecutive day.

Albeit this time its at your tolerance to wait 20 mins.

I would have waited perhaps 3 mins before “expressing my displeasure”

You should tighten up that patience.

Is this a trick question?

Or is it Marriott consumer research?

That is a ridiculous amount of time to wait, especially considering that there were 3 employees present. Unless there was an urgent/emergency matter, the responsible employee should have acknowledged you right away if they could not help you immediately, and then they should have gotten your cappuccino very soon after. If they could not help you, and their 2 coworkers could not help you, they should have requested back-up from a manager. (I sure hope one of those 3 employees was NOT a manager!) A customer in your presence always takes precedence over other tasks. After all that, I also hope your cappuccino was comped. That would have been the least they could do for you after your 20 minute wait!

How much was the cappuccino or was it complimentary? Did you tip once you got it? :o

I wouldn’t have waited that long. Maybe 5 min but certainly not 20 specially if there were 3 employees and no customers in line in front of me.

Please tell me you didn't tip! I would not have waited 20 minutes, 5 maybe!

you could have in that time , walked out and found a coffee shop, got your coffee and walked but to the hotel, and probably your drink would still not be ready

No charge on the bill.

Great. We are staying there Tuesday night, I told my wife to pack our own cappuccino.

Pretty sure I would have walked away by 5 mins.

Cappuccino and a courtyard lobby are not compatible. Regular coffee... ok.

I would have gone gone somewhere else to get my coffee beverage.
