The JW in Guanacaste (Costa Rica) is great for a holiday vacation. If you are willing to go vrbo one of the smaller islands in Turks and Caicos would be my first choice. My vacation on North Caicos is still my best ever.

are any of the most expensive starwood still taking award bookings for christmas? used to, when published cash rates were crazy. the rates were something i tracked annually going back a number of years.
(re my use of starwood, note designhotels currently refers to starwood as a subsidiary of marriott)

indeed st regis resorts in north america have insane cash rates, i have looked annually going back more than 5 years, curious to see whether this remains exactly the same (and award avail) under marriott
