Third stay here recently - still love this place, but with the devaluation will unlikely stay here again, sadly.
  • booked Emerald Seaview room - 130k for 5 nights, pre the devaluation
  • emailed hotel a week before asking them please do not "upgrade" me across the road to the new building
  • SNA cleared 5 days out to a "beachfront" room - upstairs, front row, spectacular view, standard room otherwise
  • Some of the staff who we had seen repeatedly in previous years seem to have moved on, their replacements are maybe not quite as polished but still pretty good
  • Beach and breakfast was not overly crowded even though both sides of the road seemed to have pretty high occupancy
  • Didn't check out the other side of the road...

Well, considering their cash rate for the summer season, even 248k redemption seems reasonable.

i just completed a week here. i was booked in the lowest level room and upgraded to a one bedroom sea view emerald suite. for contrast i spent three nights prior at the angsana which afforded me a stunning corner suite high above--the property was beautiful but the service failings were the same as at domes--its just a greek thing. nothing serious, just not 5 star service, try they might. always friendly though. also the welcome gift was quite a lot but enjoyed it.

one night there was a tremendous storm that flooded some rooms--the next morning at bfast the cafe was covered in water still and the lobby had been flooded as well resulting in all carpets taken out and cleaning through the entire morning. it was amazing that by the next day the pool was back and the beach had been evened again--quite impressive. i did overhear other guests discussing room moves and that sort of thing so it was unfortunate a storm of that strength could do this. i also overheard complaints on service generally that despite best efforts they continue to fail at communication which i'd agree with but again, no different at angsana.

angsana is a place where music is always pumping, it made me really appreciate the silence at domes and continues to be my preferred place to go. i also tried the restaurants this year given the weather and found makris buffet then a la carte and raw to both be really fantastic food. pricey for greece yes, but worth it compared to london prices. i certainly will continue to make this my preferred option in corfu.

other asides: when i arrived the ac was not working but after 30mins it was back once they fixed it. then the last evening i was relaxing in the living room and smelled...something. well it was that infamous bathroom drain--wow--someone in an adjacent room really needs help, it was choking, but it did not go away and i had to keep that bathroom door shut all night! thankfully the bathroom in my bedroom was unaffected, phew.

Has anyone stayed in a Sapphire Sublime Family Swim Up suite at all? Would love some info. Also if anyone knows if they're on the hill side of the 'old' side that'd be useful to know!

Hey, the room you mention is for a different hotel, Domes of Corfu (rather than Domes Miramare)

Arrived a few days ago; property is amazing, although service hasn't been as efficient as I would have liked.

been told that the Lounge is being relocated to the new building across the street soon, no one knows the exact location yet, and that doesn't make me very happy.

Considering there was no lounge previously, save for the Haute Living rooms, can't see how that's a let down.

Apologies, I was referring to the Haute Living Room ('Lounge') by the sea.

Seeing as that was exclusively for the folks in the suites adjacent to it, moving the Haute Living Room across the road seems like a crazy move. If true, presumably this is to convert the lounge into a further suite for more $$$...
