I had an interesting one over the weekend. Multiple hotels were showing no rooms available at Marriott.com, however the Android app showed availability, confirmed by the hotels.

I'm concerned that the Marriott app and website show incorrect expiration dates for my points. A phone rep said her records show the date I believe is correct.
I redeemed points yesterday and thought the app and website would update overnight. They did not. Is there anything I should do? I'd be happier of the app and website were correct so I'd have the correct date in writing. |
With the disappearance of the Additional Comments form field, where are we supposed to indicate the name of a second guest? I often have a second guest (different last name) checking in before the primary guest (me). Must I now phone Marriott for this each time?

Hi richarddd,
We would be happy to check on that for you. Please private message us with your Loyalty number, full name, email address and, a past stay as seen in your account (hotel name and date) with the details of your stay concerns. Best Regards, Marriott Bonvoy Lurker |

Best Regards, Marriott Bonvoy Lurker Thank you for the kind offer, but mercifully the app and website updated to the correct date after about two days. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/37644461-post2477.html |

No response from Marriott support either.. |
Couldn't find a dedicated App thread so mods please move if appropriate...
My phone was getting low on storage and noticed that the Marriott App was taking up 4 GB of storage...yes, that's right 4 GB, by far the most data of any app on my phone...no idea what it was storing, but quickly un-installed it and downloaded it again. Suggest everyone else do the same! |

Not surprising... this is Marriott IT. Obviously a totally different outsourced group for the website vs app since the user experience and flow is totally different, as well as the numerous defects.

Getting the 401 authorization required error today. Apparently it doesn't like me cross shopping their hotels to see who has a decent refundable rate.
|
I regularly get that error after I've been logged in for around 10-15 min and doing searches. Apparently the garbage website partially times out even though you're actively using it.
