I just did a two night business stay here, I'd like to come back with the family due to all the facilities Smokin88 did a good job describing. One update would be that as an Ambassador I was offered breakfast in either the lounge or restaurant. The restaurant selection is obviously much more extensive, though the lounge has more premium drinks (e.g. Lounge has pink guava, restaurant had green guava). In fact the hotel restaurant was busy and buzzing much of the time of day.

Also dropped by the adult lounge around 730pm, cocktails hour is till 8pm. You could certainly manage to eat out of this lounge as long as you liked Indian food (at least on my night), and I particularly enjoyed the dosa chef. They weren't too strict about cutting off the supplies either as I got a top up drink and nibble about 810pm.

Final comment on upgrade, was given a one bedroom suite with a nice view of the KL TV tower 2 days in advance on the app. A good idea from their side as I was still ready to switch hotels - this choice was driven by my normal hotels being sold out or very expensive for some reason.

Had a 3 night stay here as a Titanium. I think there’s really no need to choose the Renaissance unless you need the location (and there’s lots of Marriotts around). Any room facing the street is insanely noisy due to the general traffic but also the fact that car and motorbike races happen all hours of the night.

I was upgraded to an Exec Suite and when I checked in they gave me one on the 2nd lowest floor. It reeked of cigarettes so I went back to reception and the only other room they could give was one on the lowest floor. It was incredibly noisy and I then read online even higher floors are the same. I asked if I could shorten my stay and head somewhere else (only because I figured may as well collect another brand for the Q1 promo). They offered one final room on 10th floor facing the pool but it took 4 hours to get ready…no noise there so I stayed put.

Didn’t have time to check out club lounge. Staff friendly and professional.
