Nice addition. Is this a newly constructed hotel?

about time, didnt care much for the 4P or Neues Schloss. Its been way too long since The Atlantis left, and the location isnt bad although its not in the prime biz section, it will do just fine

About darn time. ^

I actually like the 4P Sihlcity quite a bit and its easy to get to on the train. The older Sheraton is in better location but the rooms are outdated and momsie, IMHO.

It's quite a good area though, quite happening in the evenings, bars and restaurants available. It will be neighbor with Novotel, Ibis.
That's also the area where they built the tallest building in Switzerland (compared to Asia, that's super low lol). So more offices, quite some businesses around as well.

Might not be that attractive for the Bahnhofstrasse shopping people but it's not that far by tram or even by train (RER) via Hardbruecke station.

Now I know where it is located. Since I didn't drive through Zürich for a while I have forgotten where the Hardbrücke is... Seems to be direction Unterstrass from Winterthur

If I am not mistaken I think somehow Tyler Brule is affiliated with the project (formerly of Wallpaper and designer of the Swiss airlines "image" and currently with Monacle with a column in the FT- Financial Times not Flyer Talk) so at least the image of the project should be modern.

Any idea how long of a walk and tram to the main train station?

4 minutes by train to the tram station Hardbruecke from the main station.

I do not know, if the hotel is connected to the bridge or if there is any short cut, but in the worst case, you should not walk longer than five minutes, the hotel is a stone throw away from the station.

Judging from the Renaissance next door, I do expect rates to fall to the mid 100's on weekends and in low season.

As pointed out by others, this is a newly developed business zone away from the banking and shopping centres of Zurich.

It is at least 10 minute walk from Hardbrücke station, did it earlier this year, no point to use train. Best is tram No. 4 from Bahnhofquai, it takes 15 minutes and stops right in front of Sheraton.

The prices are actually quite good, I'm surprised for Zurich.

Just randomly checked weekend rates (Fri-Sun) in February and the lowest is CHF 143.20 and the flex rate is CHF 189.00

Will definitely try it next time I'm back home
