Perhaps you stayed on particularly desirable dates. When I stayed this fall, the rates (even AAA) were in the low $200s. I just checked for a random night in January and it's $156- but newer build properties downtown are less (Aloft, FI, 4P, CY, RI). Although they are more limited service brands, in practice, they aren't any more limited service. Indeed the breakfast at the RI is better than the lounge breakfast at the Sheraton.

I noticed Sheraton Tribeca has a $99 long term stay rate for most of January. Not sure what the minimum number of days is, but it's definitely cheaper than anything else I was able to find in the area.

Just randomly plugging in Jan 11 - 26, it looks like there's a minimum 13 day stay requirement.

Stayed here two weeks ago. Overall really enjoyed the hotel. Rooms are a bit dated, old style US Sheraton, brought back some memories haha, but very clean.
Got upgraded to a city view on the 18th floor, really an amazing view. Staff was very nice throughout the property.

Club lounge and rooftop terrace are open, only went there for breakfast which was pretty good. Amazing views while enjoying breakfast.
We really liked the location in the end. Upon arriving Canal street was a bit of a shock. Super easy to walk into Soho though, just crossing the street, easy walk to Wallstreet area as well and super conveniently located next to the subway.
Would return for sure, especially for the price. (price kept going down closer to the dates, so I must have rebooked like 5 times.)

Do they still have that super odd breakfast hour at the club lounge? IIRC the last I stayed there breakfast was only open between 6:30-8:30AM (don't think i'd seen such hours anywhere else!)

I want to say it was 630-900? But could have been 830. We were jet-lagged anyway, so were up and eating breakfast at 7am anyway.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. The Welcome Gift was never offered. I talked to the manager and was refused to give me the compensation per Bonvoy terms and conditions. I called Bonvoy to report this. They advised the hotel needs to compensate me. The hotel stood firmed but only would give me 10k points where they claimed it was a $100 value. I disputed where I as the customer should be given the choice if cash or points should be awarded. Bonvoy refused to help me any further.

    Did this workout, elmira56925 ?

We stayed here last weekend, our first visit to our regular place in just over a year. We still love the location, but there were a few things that were annoying.

At checkin we requested breakfast instead of points for our four day stay. Desk agent told us “we really don’t do that anymore”, I gave him a look and he continued “but I will find vouchers for you”, which were in the top drawer of the desk. The restaurant has a special Voucher Menu, so that just seemed like an attempt to save time of filling out forms, or saving money if it costs the hotel more?

The Voucher Menu has four options. Only one is remotely healthy, a fruit and yogurt parfait. On our third day there, it was “unavailable” as they didn’t have any fruit. Funny thing is, my eggs/bacon came with fruit. I guess it wasn’t the right fruit? Eventually they agree to substitute the other fruit, but really, there is a bodega next door. Empower an employee to take $20 from the till to make guests happy until the order arrives.

and about that $20. I planned poorly for housekeeping tip money (they clean every day now), and asked the desk if they could change a $20 bill. First guy said “we have no change, ask the restaurant or next door (like a bodega would be happy giving change)”. Guy at other desk walked over, opened the drawer at the first guy’s desk and pulled out a wad of bills and gave me the change I needed. Not sure if this is lazy on the first employee’s part or what.

otherwise the stay was fine. Location is great for subway, views from roof deck are great. Snacks in lounge have gone downhill.
