What would be the ramifications of changing the billing address on just one of several credit cards to a trusted relative's address in another state? I'm struggling to think of any, but I'm far from an expert on it.

Why're you giving warnings? Only time you should be doing that is when you confirm that there's a problem.

I see a confirmed problem and a busy MS'er will not necessarily notice this. I was only hoping it saves someone 1K and perhaps if this is a systemic issue to avoid further Citi to Buxx loads.

What is the problem you are referring to?

  1. Update of new address to CR.
  2. What if your card is "breached" and they send new cards.
  3. You call in and forgot about the billing address change. Giving incorrect address when they ask to confirm.

Just a few I can think of.
I'm doing just this with TD Go with my CapOne QS card. But they allow you to set your statement address, card mailing address, etc.

Really? Is it a "problem"? I don't think it is. It's a pending charge that'll drop after a while. It's not really impeding anything.

The OP was in my opinion, over exaggerating the issue. Worrying about a charge back that wouldn't even be needed.

A page back. User was freaking out about a pending charge, thinking he the load was double charged.

Re: regarding change of address:-

The credit card company reported the address change to Experian.

I looked at my Experian report, on the last page, under "personal information", it read
" This is address may be perceived as a high risk because it has pertained to a business or was used as a mail drop or a delivery service : " experian inserts the new address"

The point that I think f0xx is trying to get across, or at least the one I will try to make, is that posts like that cause pages of hysterical "the sky is falling" posts. Look at the CVS thread. Every few pages from the beginning to the end there were a series of these types of posts. They are annoying and lead to threads being much longer than they need to be. If all the stupid "How do I MS?", "Where are the arrows?", "I was denied, is it over?", etc. (read: dumb) posts were removed from threads, there would be no thread longer than 30 pages probably. These dumb posts just make it harder for newbies (myself included) to read through threads to find information.

Anyone mind shooting me a PM with any ideas on signing up for a USB Buxx card? The wiki says apps are closed, but I'm pretty sure I found a landing page a few weeks back, but can't seem to figure out how I got there :(

That's because it's closed.

There is no problem - the pending charges will fall off in about 2-3 weeks from Citi cards. Reported earlier.

I see on my TD account page a routing and account number. Is it possible to use this to fund BB directly by linking it as a funding source?

Nope. Unless you want your account locked.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll stick to my usual Walmart trips then!

How about adding a family member with no SSN?
