The panic seems to be more widespread than actual reality. But because it required a certain method people went into a frenzy. If you have no idea what I’m talking about you’re safe

I love how we all talk so cryptic about the suggested method that caused the shutdown - it is like "we don't talk about bruno" or "first rule of fight club"

Can you post some links or is this just unsupported suppositions?
ur comment is actually very similar to the ones prevalent during AA shutdowns. pple just didnt understand how such an insane story could be true. "what? AA cant shutdown my account and cancel all my flights during my huge important family disney vacation. i will take this all the way to the FBI if that ever happens."

FutureCard account locked, will probably be shut-down over an MS purchase of $50 in one of their bonus categories. Talk about sensitive.

And lets not get too excited about this card. In a Forbes Review, they summarized the card in the following way. The FutureCard Visa® Debit Card* isn’t a credit card and doesn’t work like a typical revolving credit account, but it does earn excellent cash-back rewards on what its issuer calls “climate smart spending.” The card earns up to 6% cash back on select partner brands, 5% cash back on the first $25,000 of purchases spent on public transport, electric charging, bikes and scooters, secondhand clothes and furniture and plant-based meat, dairy and eggs and 1% cash back on all other purchases. FutureCard is worth looking into for those seeking a slightly more climate-friendly payment method or those looking to earn top rewards on “greener” purchases. Furthermore, in the article, there is also this it does require you to link a bank account to make all transactions. There’s no line of credit extended with this card, so you can’t carry a balance. When you make a payment, your linked bank account is debited for the purchase. It appears that they are very sensitive to messing around with their bonus categories. Doesn't seem worth the effort to me :( |
Shutdown today on 4 cards, hilton surpass and aspire, schwab platinum, 1 business platinum.
I still have amex everyday, 1 business platinum, amazon prime card, bonvoy business, and bonvoy brilliant. Seems odd that they shutdown partially? Should i be alarmed and redeem all points? Can't find any DP on that partial shutdown behavior, have 580k MR on the line. |

What kind of volume and type of spending are you doing on them? Multiple new card spending bonuses at all?
normal spend, no new Amex since 2022/2023. No MS, no failed payments, no big CLI. I’m working through some of the usual credits I.e. FNA surpass. what’s weird is that they kept my sock drawer cards open but closed my card with spend? Weird |

However I have to say it feels like you are omitting something. You must have some clue as to why they shut you down. Maybe referral bonus are involved ? If everything is truly legit, then you should be able to eventually get your MR. But if you have been doing anything shady, cash them out ASAP. |
