Sure did. Seemed like a generic form letter that they sent to many people. Now I have 97 blank checks that are useless .

Yep. Winn-Dixie on my end, but also ended. I did very well off of it, though.

I think it's too soon to tell even if many have started to abuse it right now. the HH mantra is go big or go home;) I'm not expecting survival at a 'high' altitude to last six months, though. we will find out who outsmarts who.

FM spoke to one of the executives at that bank who said doing repeated GC purchases will "not be allowed". That bank is not very tolerant of MS.

Mamibear May 9, 2017 7:18 pm

people who know how to "mask" their transactions so as not to show repetitive amounts may be able to get away for a short time but IF (big IF) the bank does L3 to reveal what those "high ticket" items are, then game over. This bank is notorious for having a bad attitude towards HHs.

That was such a stupid question to ask. The only answer was going to be a big NO.

He was good a few years ago but lately it's been all trash.

Can you point to somebody better though? It's all speculation at this point. I doubt the US Bank themselves know yet what they're going to do until they have data from the first wave of customers indicating trends and risks. I think if you're an opportunist and don't give a damn about your relationship with the bank, the proper strategy is to go full speed here and assume the risk. I personally don't want to ruin that relationship since I've been a customer for quite some time and I exercise reasonable moderation. So far so good and I haven't had problems getting VGCs through mobile, except some local grocery stores seem to have some limits. Not sure yet if it's because of the VGC purchase or just the general limit on mobile purchase, still experimenting.

Exactly. L3 reveals all and any bank that receives it can swing the ax if they see a pattern.

So, one of the big banks just caused a CC shutdown. CFPBed for rewards points but they are stealing them. What other options has everyone used. I was planning on filling a BBB complaint. Maybe something with the State AGs office. Any other good options. Its not enough for me to both with small claims court, but I'd like to make the banks life uncomfortable.
