$1 fee per $500 load w/ DollarTree GreenDot Card

GreenDot has a special deal for Dollar Tree right now. You can load up to $500 onto a new GreenDot prepaid card for $1.

Has anyone used these?

Be sure to always check the funding methods. I'm pretty sure this is a cash only load thereby making it useless for MS.

Hard-coded? Or just corporate policy that employees may not know?

Dosen't it say on the package something along the lines of "Bring desired CASH amount to the register...." Hence, cash only.. Sorry to burst your bubble GeorgeMilesArnonld, you can run from store to store asking to pay with credit but I'm sure your efforts will be futile..

My local dollar store was more than happy to try to run the card, but the register wouldn't allow it to be loaded with a credit card.

I used to buy MVDs at DG with cc for $2.95/$500 but they've since hard coded against it :-( I was ripping through them with plink netting like 3%.
