How can you say it is clearly not 24 hours? Your 5th transaction was attempted before 24 hours !

I haven't been keeping up with the thread much recently so I apologize if this has already been discussed, but does anyone know how the $5K limit is enforced? I buy VRs regularly and in large quantities (I have no problem doing $5K at a time), and today the register printed out "Daily limit of $5,000 reached. You may continue purchasing prepaid cards/phones tomorrow." See my twitter account for the image if you have no imagination.
Yesterday I purchased $4.5K in VRs in 4 separate transactions, each one requiring my ID to be scanned (no, I'm not concerned about it). The problem is that these were all done late afternoon (2pm-5pm) and my purchase today was at 1pm. That means the limit does not go by calendar day, and clearly it's not 24 hours either. Anyone else run into this issue? Also just to add to other conversations that are ongoing, I always pay off my credit card directly from Bluebird the day I load it. In fact, I pay off one credit card with multiple bluebird accounts at the same time sometimes. For example, if I have a $3K outstanding on my cc, I'll use 3 different BBs to send $1K each (since that's all I can load in a day). I've been doing this since BB came along without issue. I also have no problem paying my SPG Amex cards with BB. I know people are afraid that both systems are Amex, but I've done this without issue. I've done it only minimally to pay other Amex cards (plat/gold etc.). To the new people, don't be afraid of them scanning your DL. You're not breaking any laws. It looks like they just want to be able to enforce this $5K limit. |

EDIT: sorry...just realized I forgot to mention that I was allowed to buy $3K today before the register stopped me. Edited my initial post above. |

Perhaps a question, here that isn't exactly in line with the CVS topic, but, I buy my 5K and my wife also does 5K, but the VRs go into our separate accounts. My question is, if I have two separate checking accounts in my name, can I have two separate BB accounts, and fund each with 5K? Or perhaps a checking account, and a savings account?
I usually keep a substantial amount in my BB account, and use it to pay bills, taxes, auto loans, etc, so sometimes 5K a month isn't quite enough. The wife though, is a 'sweeper'. |

TJ - no need to blast pictures on Twitter. Remember what happened with the Mint. This is a good gig, and showing pictures of how big your "richard" is on twitter is not going to help keep it going any longer. And I assume we are all confident enough in ourselves that we don't need attention the way Joshua Pickles does.

The picture was more to provide information (and see if anyone else had a similar experience) than anything else. I don't post pics of the tons of VRs anymore like I used to. I'm over it.

They were definitely talking about it a few posts ago when they started mentioning the FBI and IRS.

Forget the cardinals, I got to deal with this dude who works at the store and seems to have a man-crush on me. lol He's sold me many cards and thinks I'm Bill Gates' son. I ran into him the other day when I was out running some errands....not only did he recognize me, he asked me if I wanted to hang out. Awkward! Guess I'll have to find a new store. lol
ETA: He was with his gf..before you think otherwise. lol |
