Another vote for MO Doha. Just stayed there for two nights and got upgraded from a Premier Room into a Studio Suite on a Fan Club rate. Great food, caring staff and personalised service by all departments. Fine location, loved their Gelato shop. Highly recommended. As fate would have it, on our last night after dinner at Mosaic we bumped into #livefromtuscany and family in the hotel elevator...small world :)

I ended up at the Four Seasons Doha - who accommodated a (very) early check-in at 5am. I booked my room for the night I was departing, so leaving at 11pm was no issue. No room upgrade with FHR, but that was completely fine.

Having the breakfast the day I checked-in had one small hiccup, all sorted.

Hotel, spa, pool, gym, beach were exceptional. Would recommend to a FT friend.

Nobu was very disappointing.

For hotel room reservation, I noticed the room rate changes significantly from 2x Adults to 3x Adults, is this how Doha Hotels determine the room rate based on Pax and not per room rate; even though the room occupancy allowed is max 3 persons? Can I proceed to indicate 2x adults room rate but can still having 3x adults to the room, since the hotel website indicated 3x Pax max allowed? Any can advise, thank you.

I had a pleasant stay at Park Hyatt Doha last week. We arrived at 2am and left at 5am the following morning so that required a 2 night stay. I am a Hyatt Globalist and secured a suite in advance of our stay. We were proactively offered breakfast on the day we departed. The Japanese restaurant on the rooftop was excellent. If you want an outdoor table, book it in advance. It's a lovely view of the city.

Mandarin Oriental Doha

Just completed a truly perfect stay at the Mandarin Oriental Doha. It was flawless - staff remembered your name, breakfast servers knew your order after day 1, GM very approachable and the hard product was excellent. Liang went over and above for a celebration too.

4 night family stay, December

Hi, travelling with young kids (9-13) so looking for the hotel with best beach and pool set up. No need for kids club, and don’t really mind where we are located. Would welcome any thoughts on where to stay.
How is the weather in December? Is it basically the same as DXB?
Thanks in advance!

Go for either Four Seasons with kids, cannot go wrong there. But don’t expect great beaches in Doha. December will be quite pleasant.

thanks Sandeep! FS both look lovely.

Just noticed that MO has a 3-4-2 offer making their rooms very good value. How is that hotel
for kids (as long as pool is nice we can survive without a good (or in fact any) beach)?

MO Doha is fantastic, perhaps offering the best service. We went for dinner there, and the staff couldn’t do enough for our 3-year-old daughter. I think they have a rooftop pool, forum experts who stayed there will be able to comment on it.

Yes they do have a rooftop pool - on the 8th floor.

The service I received at the MO Doha probably ranks as one of the best I have experienced.

Have a roughly 48-hour stopover in Doha after Christmas with the family (including 3 teens) and debating between the St. Regis Doha and the Four Seasons Doha. We want to do a mix of sunbathing and sightseeing, and would like good F&B options. Some of the feedback on these hotels in this thread is from two years ago, so wondering if anyone’s got more recent experience? Prices are roughly the same.

I would def do FS Doha. I prefer it’s location as you can easily go to Pearl and do other sight seeing stuff, museums etc. The beach is great and overall service is great. My last stay was in Jan 2024 and I will be there again in April this year.

If you’d like any more specific feedback then happy to provide

FS Doha

Loved my stay at the FS Doha West Bay. Quick one night stay, but everything was perfection.

-Relaxed yet Professional Service
-Fresh, Well appointed room, super comfy bed, diptyque toiletries and sea views
-Nice pool area with resort vibe
-Fantastic gym with squat rack + tennis courts
-Quick ride / affordable ride to the Souq and airport
-Great breakfast options from across the world, top notch coffee and juices, willing to go off menu. All staff knew our name somehow.
-Enjoyed the shisha + Arabic food at Laya

Rosewood is accepting reservations from July it seems. The rates are comparable to the FS.

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 5:05 am.
