Strictly speaking a transfer between A and C is not a change of terminals.
Frankfurt Airport’s Connection between Terminals information page refers to “change between areas A, B, C or Z (Terminal 1) and areas D or E (Terminal 2)” but it does not make clear if the planned suspension of Skyline also affects transfers between areas within Terminal 1.

Connecting in FRA on 1/22 (SFO-FRA-CDG) to a LH flight. Saw on the LH site a notice about weather related disruptions on 1/22. I looked at the weather and see snow, but not much. Will short haul flights be impacted? Does LH proactively cancel flights in advance?

The Skyline closure my end up a blessing in disguise in this case, recall the replacement bus between Z and N/S B is secure, even though Skyline in the same direction is not. With a bit of luck, a bus trip might mean avoiding security in C maybe?

I don't think there ever was a bus to C when the Skyline was closed before. It is needed between Z and B-Non Schengen as there is no way to walk between them without immigration otherwise, but you can walk all the way from B to C. Don't believe the buses exist to make your life easier, they only run so that FRA can still offer Non-Schengen to Non-Schengen connections without immigration into the Schengen area.

Can someone let us know if it is clearly signposted getting from T2 to T1 and vice versa. We shall land in T2 and have now to walk to T1 to get to the long-distance train station and vice versa. And how long does it take? Thanks in advance.

In the end I followed the FCLA LD’s advice and exited by A1-5, followed by landside and then in again at C. I left FCLA at 1218 and boarded at 1248. Bus to aircraft and clearly not the new Finnair A350 interior… ugh.

The security-clean bus from Non-Schengen B to A/Z has moved to B58 sometime recently. Very efficient if you can get on it rather than re-clearing security, not signposted at all until you're right at the gate (which is downstairs, so you'd really have no idea....)
