So in 3 weeks I'll be flying USA-FRA-OPO (so Non-Schengen to Schengen) and back. I'm just double checking I understand the current German Covid rules, its negative test OR proof of vaccination, correct? So fully vaccinated travelers don't need a negative test?
Also, since we are just transiting Germany we don't have to fill out the digital entry registration, correct?

The SQ phone agents are usually not the best experience. Once at the airport and in the air, it's a different story. Interlining should not be a problem. We did this more than once, when we were going on to Vienna.

2 long haul itineraries, different alliances, connecting at FRA
Looking at doing Sri Lankan UL 553 CMB-FRA, scheduled arrival 0630 in FRA T2.
Connecting on separate itinerary to the Singapore air FRA-JFK flight, T1 departing 0820. No checked bags.
Thoughts?
I initially thought the airside train would make this pretty painless, until I read this at Frankfurt-airport.com:
“Please note that the SkyLine will not operate between 31.01. and 20.03.22 due to construction work. During this period, only the shuttle bus will be available for changing terminals. “

I’d be there on March 20. So this makes it look like the train connector is out. So my question is, is the bus airside? If not, I’m guessing the additional time to enter Germany, switch terminals land side, and clear security makes this a deal breaker. I’m flying in biz both itineraries if that helps.

There is no secure connection between T2 and T1, never was. Non-Schengen yes, but not secure.
I would not risk missing a long-haul on an unsecured 0150 connection in Frankfurt. Doubly so with different terminals in play.

hello, im new to flyertalk and not sure best place to post or how to post. I'm flying first class from us to Frankfurt and have 3 hour layover in Frankfurt before continuing to Vienna (also on Lufthansa (business). do I have access to the first class terminal during my layover and should I go there or another terminal. I assume I'm classified as first class as my entire flight is booked as first class even though my connection to Vienna is business as there isn't first class to Viena

so if you are flying into Frankfurt first class and continuing on Lufthansa business to Viena u can use the first class terminal and be taken to your flight or just use and then have to walk back to main terminal?
