Hi everyone,
I will be going ORD-FRA-FCO, all on LH (UA codeshare) in J next month. 3:20 layover, so not worried about making the connection, but will I have access to a lounge, and how much security/COVID will there be? Never flown through FRA.

Do note that there is no lounge in the Schengen-part of the B-terminal, so if your flight to Rome is from terminal B you have to use the lounge in terminal A (using the tunnel)

There should be no (non-COVID related) security check between the flights since you are arriving from a clean country (US) but you will have to go through passport control to enter Schengen in FRA.

And yes, you would have access to the Lufthansa Business Lounge's without any extra charge based on your departing flight being in Business Class. If you have *G status, then, you could access the Lufthansa Senator Lounge's.

For cardholders on domestic itineraries. Business class passengers on domestic itineraries still get free access, unlike in the US.

Yes indeed, although I am not sure how it works with Delta. One other point while we're OT is, if you're a member of Flying Blue you get access on French domestic flights but not for domestic flights elsewhere.

Flight from DBV will most probably land in Non-Schengen area of Terminal-1B. From there we need to get to Terminal-1A for connecting flight to DUS. I understood that quickest way is by passenger tunnel (via lift) near Gate B-13.
After arrival in FRA - should we just follow the signs for “A” or head to a specific area to land up near B-13/passenger tunnel?
Will LH assist if we are delayed in any way?

I don't know if an arrival from Croatia would be treated as clean, but if you happened to arrive clean in secure non-Schengen B there is a bus from there to Z and you could use passport control there to enter A without needing to go through security.

Thanks for the update. I need to do a Z->B transfer (US arrival to non-Schengen international departure) in 1 hour and 45 minutes later this month. Hopefully the bus will still be operational then!
