One clacker board - at least it seemed to me - is in T1 check-in area. As you walk in to the terminal and look at the heavens. Another one I recall used to be in B. I guess near the now Bayer revolving sign; now we have screens which are silent. No more sound of falling dominoes.

BCN-FRA-SFO
My parents will be transiting through FRA this weekend, BCN-FRA-SFO. Looks like they will be arriving at the B bus gates and only have 65 min. I'm trying to write up some instructions to help them (other than the "follow the signs" disclaimer), but I'm still confused about a few things. They will be on business class tickets
When they arrive from the bus it sound like they go up the escalator and through passport control. (even through they are from a within EU flight)
They then go through a transfer security check(?) and then go down to the tunnel of horror? Is there an expedited security line here for business class?
Once they come to the other end of the tunnel they take an elevator up to the US departure level. Do they go through another security check here?
The other option seems to be, (from Oliver2002) they arrive by bus and go through passport check. They exit terminal B to the land side. Walk to terminal A. Go up the escalator before the security check. Go through security and go to gate. Is this correct?
Is the recommendation that if the transfer security is busy then they should cross over land side? But if the security is light than they should go through the tunnel?
Thanks for the help

Much of the description of B bus arrivals in this thread is about arrivals from non-Schengen. Schengen bus arrivals in B will be slightly different but unfortunately I am not familiar with the actual route. Perhaps someone more familiar with Schengen bus arrivals can comment?
Actually "follow the signs" is not a disclaimer but the only meaningful advice one can give especially without knowing where the incoming flight will park and the connecting flight will depart from. With a few exceptions (e.g. A380 departures, UA departures) they can vary from day to day, especially at weekends.

I just flew FRA-IAD. After going through the normal pre-U.S. security before entering the gates in the A50s and A60s area, I was subjected to an immediate second security screening. Literally, after collecting my stuff from the belt and walking through the metal detector, they search my stuff by hand, do a pat down, etc. Then they want to see my boarding pass. How stupid. But I suppose it was done based on guidance from the US government.

Which flights will they be on? LH to SFO is the A380 and almost certainly departs from a C gate but if on UA metal the flight is likely to depart from an A gate.

Today and tomorrow the arrival gate of LH1125 is A34 according to lufthansa.com, on Sunday it may be a bus gate.
If arriving at A34 all they need to do is to walk to A26 and go up the elevator to passport control and non-Schengen A Pier. They will probably have enough time for a quick visit to the Tower Lounge.

Yes unfortunately, they are on Sunday's LH1125 which is showing as bus gate B1 right now. Before the trip they were concerned and I kept telling them that they will probably come into the A gates and have a short walk. This was my worst case scenario and I was hoping to send them some info to help them along...
thanks again

LH1125 arrived at a bus gate today but at least it was early. I'm sure your parents won't have any problem finding their departure gate at A65.

I'm thinking about buying a ticket doing LH147 NUE to FRA and then LH962 FRA to EDI. I would only have 50 minutes to connect. I think I may have to go from A to B. Is that enough time?
If I missed the connection due to the first flight being late, will LH reroute me on a later flight via LHR?

If you can buy a ticket with a short connection LH should take care of you in case of misconnection.

When are you travelling? On some random dates I checked in September and October, LH147 arrives in FRA at 12:40 and LH962 departs at 12:10. Perhaps you have other flights in mind?

OK, I got it. Since LH sells tickets for this connection they should put you on a later flight if you miss the connection. You may not be able to choose which flight, though.

Y'all be delighted to know that one of the lifts from the Tunnel of Hate at the A-concourse end is out of order at the moment.
It's also possible to get from A30 to the B2x Business Lounge in 14 minutes with a fag break

This will be probably be a double bus job, but doable if the flights are on time, if you end up at B-Schengen bus gates, then it's a doddle.
