Help
Hello!
Last time I connected in FRA in March 2018. My flight from Budapest stopped at A10, and my following flight to New York was at C14. I used the skytrain (the station is next to A10) from A/Z to B/C. When I arrived to the platform at A, both train carriages door were open. I chose the first one. When I arrived to station Concourse C, only the second carriage doors opened, so I had to go to Terminal 2, and then go back to station B/C. Finally I walked to my gate, and I had to go through a huge passport control and a smaller security control.
In a few weeks I will go to San Juan with Condor, and again I will connect in Frankfurt. My plane from Budapest probably will arrive to A, and I know from the past that my Condor plane will depart from C. But in this case I have only 50 minutes to do this connection. (I did it in the past 2 times by the way) Can you help me, which is the fastest way to get to Gates C from Gates A? Or that was the fastest what I did in March?

After leaving the aircraft, follow signs to Z. Go to the border exit passport control abeam gate A13. Take the escalator up to Z. Then immediately follow signs to B or C. You will board the SkyLine again, but now in the other (second) carriage which will open doors at C. You will have security at C but no passport control.
Note, sometimes (on weekdays?) the train only goes to B. In that case, there is a bus in B to transfer you to C (not sure if that is before or after security). I was in FRA this month and the train went from Z to C without requiring transfer at B, but this was on a weekend day.
Edit: there's a quick boarding pass check (staffed by LH) before the passport control at A13. They may point out that you're going to Z while your BP shows C. Just tell them that you'll take the train. If they see that you know what you're doing, they should let you through.

Thank you very much! I'ill try it
After your answer I'm not sure about the opened doors. Probably I just saw a few people in that carriage as well and I taught that the door is open. My only excuse is that I slept 1 hour because of my early flight on that day.

How do you know if your flight will be AEUW? It's not something I've encountered before. I just booked a DEN-FRA 747 flight with a 1:10 connection to FRA-FCO. Not thrilled as I am well familiar with the usual drill: bus from remote stand, long hike through FRA, skytrain between terminals, and then the horrid security check. Would be great to avoid security arriving from USA.

You don't know in advance. You see the planned arrival gate in LH app, but it can and does change.
On LH1003 last Friday, it was originally ASW, then the morning of the flight it changed to A11 (hooray) but then by the time we actually flew it changed back to ASW (damn), the change cost me a chance to check out the panorama lounge.

I'm an Indian citizen traveling from Sao Paulo, Brazil to New Delhi, India via Frankfurt (GRU-FRA-DEL).
I booked my tickets with Air India, but my first flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU) to Frankfurt is by LATAM airlines and the second flight from Frankfurt to New Delhi, India (DEL) is by Air India because LATAM airline is the allied partners of Air India.
Both flights will be arriving and departing from the same terminal i.e. Terminal 1 of Frankfurt international airport, and the layover time is 8 hours. During the layover, I will not leave the international transit area, I will only change the boarding gates within Terminal 1 (probably from B2 or C1 to B46).
As I am coming from Brazil (non-Schengen area) and going to India (non-Schengen area), so I want to know if I need a transit visa for that transfer? Because last time when I was going from DEL-FRA-GRU (Air India-Latam airlines) at that time also I did transit within Terminal 1. That time I did not cross the immigration counter. But for this time I don't know whether it will be same or not.

Have a 90 minute connection BOS-FRA-LHR coming up in January — BOS-FRA looks like it's consistently been arriving into Z (although with the switch to the 744 not sure if this will hold) and FRA-LHR departs from B. Given what's been going on at FRA security lately would FT wisdom advise taking the Skyline train Z to B or entering Schengen to A and taking the tunnel to B? Non-EU citizen if that makes any difference.

But this is something confusing, check:
www.germany-visa.org/airport-transit-visa
I just want to know if I move from gate B2 or C1 towards gate B46, then is it required for me to pass by the immigration?
German Transit Airports
The Federal State of Germany has around 300 active airports spread throughout its whole territory. However, not all of them can be used for transiting. In these five airports in Germany, you can stay at the International Transit Area without a visa:- Frankfurt/Main airport (open 24 hours)
- Munich Airport (open 24 hours)
- Hamburg Airport (4:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. only)
- Düsseldorf Airport (6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. only) and if the airline has arranged the transit beforehand with the authorities responsible for cross-border security (the Federal Police)
- Cologne/Bonn Airport (4:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. only)
- Berlin Airport (06:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. only) at Berlin-Tegel, for Air Berlin passengers only.

However, the document you quoted is not from an official source and my reading of the official document I mentioned earlier suggests you do require a transit visa even if you stay in the international transit area unless you meet one of the criteria for exception.
You might like to check for yourself using IATA's website:
https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/pas...quirements.htm
This is (similar to) what airline employees use to check if you require a visa to board a flight to certain countries.
