My default on that routing is exit & walk to FCT, exit passport control is fast with EU passport at auto machines, no security to go to FCLA, just immigration but you could have a long walk to your gate, there is security at FCT but super fast & civilised. At FCT you have a dedicated PA, they come & find you for boarding & drive you to your flight to WAW.

In theory, on arrival at FRA you should have dedicated F transfer service but it is hit & miss, they should escort you to either FCLA or FCT, your choice.

Many thanks.

SInce I have a looong layover I should have more than enough time to spare to get there, i.e. FCT. I wanted to experience what FRA was like since I have not been there for so long. I tend to find MUC and ZRH very functional ...and reasonably easy to maneuver.

Your connection should be Z to FCT, one of the easiest at FRA, especially since you ought to have the F arrival escort.

MUC & ZRH beat FRA on almost every point.

My pleasure.

Let’s see what the store is like. May be able to stop by next week or the week after.

I have an idea to buy something to be delivered to the shop for collection. Unfortunately opening hours of the shop in the main hall is 8:00-19:00.
If the one in FCT is open longer it would fit my schedule. Not sure will I be able to collect the item there.

Would be interesting for me, too.

Please do report back whether it worked.

Good morning from FCT.
yes, It is possible to order anything on wordshop to be delivered to FCT.
I was also told that if delivery is to the main hall, they can pick it up and store in FCT wordshop for a “few days”.
Please mind that wordshop in FCT is behind security.

That's good to know and would have surprised me if not possible.

Have a great flight!

Hope it's not limited to newspapers, as it is a "wordshop" ;)
(probably autocorrection)

WORLDSHOP of course haha
Thank you.
Even now phone is trying to correct it to either word-shop or world-hop. Kinda latter is correct with me.
But it’s embarrassing.

Sorry, couldn't resist ;)

I could see workshop, but wordshop? Auto-corrections are weird sometimes.

Good FCT experience this evening.
Arrived from LHR to Z17 (no meeting but I’m of the opinion that the F experience transiting from the UK doesn’t begin until you find a lounge in FRA - apart from the wallet for your boarding pass).

in any event the walk from the aircraft to FCT took just over 10 minutes including an empty passport control and an officer who just smiled when I answered why I was visiting Germany.

A quiet lounge with a nice seasonal menu:

Both the salmon and asparagus were excellent and the potatoes a reminder of how nice they can be.
The Pommery champagne was unremarkable but the Nyetimber surprisingly good.
The 25 yr old Glenfarclas has rounded the evening off well - just need to gather my strength to enjoy the nearly 14 hours to Buenos Aires (and then the LATAM PE experience that completes my F journey to Santiago).

Lots more asparagus to look forward to:

Great experience at FRA 10 days ago.
Arriving at A from BRU, I made my way through the tunnel to FCL B, stopping briefly at the B passport e-gate.
My daughter was due in from LHR at Z with our onward flight to ICN also from Z. However her incoming flight was over an hour late and there would not have been enough time for her to get to B and back to Z.
The LD first suggested that I make my way over to the Z SEN lounge and that we meet there, but after consulting with her colleagues they arranged for a driver to meet the LHR flight on arrival at the Z gate and bring her directly to FCL B, no security check. (No passport control either as she remained in non-Schengen)..
After an excellent lunch (as in above post) we were then driven directly to the Z gate for our flight to ICN.
With a high frequency of flights from both BRU and LHR to FRA, based on previous experience I had allowed for well over two hours in FRA, fortunately as it turned out.
Incidentally, the lounge was very quiet, there being no more than two other passengers the whole time I was there.
