I personally would have mentioned it to the FA and requested new caviar since the spoon went in his mouth but that could have meant no caviar if they had no more or him getting his own jar which is rewarding the poor & unsanitary behavior.

Yuk, disgusting. Not only he steals from LH, but he spoils the whole can of caviar of his fellow passengers. I hope that he was at least drunk (or high on something).

In addition, he could easily buy the caviar that LH serves, as it is often chinese brands that LH heavily negotiate.

The FA did not see it, but served us with the two spoons and from the other side of the can. So we did not object.

Re the wine: no great wines on board today (tried three) and the wine master has selected Chardonnay and Chardonnay again. Genius. But ice in white wine is not really a problem, I see that in South Africa all the time, no matter how expensive/good the wine is.
Isn’t the caviar supposed to degrade the taste if touched by metal utensils?

I guess it's bad because they used a metal fork...

I thought this was the case, but it's a myth.

Actually, I don’t mind them using larger containers and spooning the caviar for you. As long as pax don’t use their own forks, at least not repeatedly ...

TG has individual containers, but I didn’t like their caviar at all.

He was definitely not sober, but also didn’t seem to be wasted.

Had never seen this before. Well, there is a first time for everything, I guess.

That‘s a myth. Only if silver has extensive contact with caviar, but contemporary cutlery is completely fine.

Just don‘t use it repeatedly in the can for everybody. Same rule as the one I learned for lobster and communal melted butter a long time ago: no double dipping, i.e. as soon as you have bitten a bit off a piece of lobster, it does not go back into the butter again.
