2015 M&M Status Requalification Race
A bit early, however inspired by HON routing thread.
I will end up with ca 89 000 status points after August, thus I will manage till the end of 2015. Again. Inevitably.
What about you?

Ha! I've crossed the Atlantic 12 times so far this year (that is, 6 round trips). And all I have is a lousy 28,000 status miles. Usually I'd be more than halfway requalification by this point, but the mileage devaluation has hit me hard.
Highly unlikely I'll requalify this year. I'll have one more year to accrue enough miles, but I doubt next year will be the charm, either.

Less and less miles for flying on LH, so I although it is my second qualifying year, I have at the moment only 9.000 status miles on my account. Most of miles go to A3, I plan to get gold there by February 2016…

I will also end up somewhere just short of 20,000, but I always requalify for FTL on segments which is enough for me. Then I can concentrate my efforts elsewhere! So if I requalify for FTL sometime this year, I will have it until March 2018, right?

I will make it by end of July in my 1st re-qualify year so takes me through to end of 2018.
Was lucky with a trip down to NZ in Jan on SQ with their new biz promotional booking out of IST which earned 200% & got me nearly half way there. Where I live & the routes taken no other alternative apart from A3 but missed that gig last year & now to start from the beginning does not make sense to give up luggage/ lounge/EE seat etc.

What I don't yet understand is whether the 30 segment rule applies to the two-year (re-)qualifying period or not.
In other words to address your question - if you have a requalifying period that embraces the years 2014/2015 and you achieved the 30 segments in 2015, then I am assuming that you will have FTL status for a further two years, i.e until end 2017 (and card/status up until end Feb 2018).
I, on the other hand, have a requalification period 2015/2016 - if I do 30 segments in 2015 am I safe until end Feb 2019?
Would appreciate feedback from any better-informed FT members!

Assuming that your card's expiry date is end of February 2017, doing 30 segments in 2015 will extend your FTL status till the end of February 2019. The expiry date on your online account will not change until around November 2016 when you receive your new card.

Thanks for this NewbieRunner (and also on your comment to my early posting regarding FRA A->B transfers on another thread - felt very chuffed to have received such praise from such a senior member!)

I am done at 120K all flown on SQ metal.
In Brazil to Europe market, BA/IB has been agressive in pricing, and AF with its new C Class at GRU.
LH/LX are the odd ones. Mostly relying on European inbound traffic I think.

On the contrary to what previous posters have posted, my travel level on LH has increased sharply since the beginning of this year.
A mix of extensive travel to the Far East in D class and a sharp decrease of travel volume on BA made me hit 212k HON miles in less than 6 months period.
I am very happy with LH as I got a satisfactory number of opups from D to F on many of my trips this year and on two occasions I got an opup on the same continous journey: ORD-FRA-HKG
