Finally, after years of “they didn’t load it” (in my experience), they have the 2004 Laurent-Perrier "Cuvée Alexandra" Brut Rosé Champagne.

(FRA-JFK)

It’s so tasty! Lovely F crew joked with me that they went through 4 bottles on the last flight, and that they hoped I would too… 😉

Prost!

Now a mix of nuts, rather than the macademia only??

I was to fly LH F a few weeks ago, but then decided to fly direct to MUC - so no F cabin...

Great to see this one back and that LH is loading many bottles. I’m looking forward to enjoying it soon!

I’m not a fan of macadamia, so no biggie…

We drank them dry ! 4 bottles loaded; it was offered by default as the champagne, so drink up quickly ! 😉. Pommery Cuvée Louise is the white…

It drinks as easy as water and tastes amazing. I hope they have some left for my flight.

What vintage Louise?

Such a great wine. Last had it Aug 2019 SFO-FRA. The two HONs in the cabin were enchanted by the Miraval rose on offer, so I got to drink the Alexandra rose all by myself :-)

What vintage is the Miraval Rose? I recently saw and bought the 2020 in the Ringeltaube where it was tagged 'LH Bordwein'.

No idea. Probably the current vintage. It's not a wine that varies much by vintage or benefits from aging. It's is a decently made thirst quencher that receives undue attention due to the Brangelina angle. It played its role perfectly by diverting attention of my fellow travelers from the exquisit Alexandra, which I had all to myself :-)

Yeah, and Madonna drinks it (not that it means anything!). I don't mind it at all, but it's certainly not an F wine.

That was my strategy too, although there was a decent unlisted Italian White on my flight that I liked (and the South African was not loaded). Didn't snap a photo of the label . But folks should ask...regardless, mediocre wines redeemed somewhat by the champers.

First class champagne pre-departure in FRA

Hi everyone,

flying F on LH tomorrow, FRA-ORD. On the ground, do they open the good stuff (Laurent-Perrier rosé cuvée Alexandra 2004) or they have a lesser champagne?

thanks!
