Being on LH 458 now, I have to say, still don’t like LPGS. Just too sour, too much acid-ish for my liking.

and the reds are really disappointing.

last summer at least the Cabernet from Napa was decent. The Tukma is drinkable but not great.

hate Chardonnay, so not keen on sampling the whites.

LH's F wines generally are a disgrace for FC, with the exception of the champagnes.

Was on LH458 last week and also considered the reds subpar. The Lirac is drinkable but not really refined enough for FC and the Tukma is also not bad bad, but did not like the others.

Hate Chardonnay, too, and think the wine master must be out of his mind to select two of them, one from New Zealand, where great Sauvignon Blancs come from. The Riesling was not bad though.

LPGS is fine, but not my favorite either.

It’s clear they just don’t care about the wines and that their focus is on costs. Whether you think airline awards are credible or not, I think it’s pretty telling their lack of care when LH Group seem to be the only major airlines which don’t enter the Cellars in the Sky awards...

Completely agree with this, quite ridiculous then that they make such a song & dance about having a Wine Master

I’m no expert in corporate finance, but I suppose if it’s about numbers for the annual reports, then cutting cost on beverage is an easy way to improve numbers. I doubt cheap stuff will deter people from flying FC, unless pax are wine-fanatics and LH go as low as serving catp**s. The other good stuff, like lounges and limos, will outweigh the wine master scam.

Just complained on board about the wine master again. But it will do nothing.

Thankfully, there is some consolation by the widow on the sunny MUC lounge patio now.

The widow is also great company for the seasonal asparagus menu.

Happy Easter!

Some of us here consider LH have served catp..s in F , for Champagne let alone the Wine.... it’s sad because it’s fundamentally a great product let down for a few EUR...

What about the wine in the lounges, particularly the red ones? Are they also poor caliber? When I’ve been in those lounges I usually seen them on a cart in the restaurant area, and they are seldom mentioned here on the forum. When discussing lounge beverage it’s usually the champagne that’s being discussed.

The wines in the FCT/FCL are better than the c**p*ss they serve on board these days, IMO.

First world problem is of course the excellent Cuvee Luise they serve in the MUC FCLSs.

LX have better wins that LH these days.

I shocked the purser again, when I asked for a glass of the Boschendal Sauvignon Blanc from J, since I didn’t want any of the F whites.

The wines in FRA are better & ,some are quite decent, than at MUC but the Champagne Pommery Louise is far superior in MUC than the NV Champagnes at FRA, different caterers.

Definitely better wines in FRA than onboard these days.

LX do have better wines onboard but the FCL lounge wines in ZRH are cheap.
