Maybe an idea for LO: If we can pre-order a meal in Y, why not pre-order your alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink too? And make sure they are delivered together. Just a tiny bit of flexibility would go a long way.

This is a much better approach than getting off and thinking the crew were crap.

Probably the best cultural advice I’ve heard in the three years or so since moving to Poland!

BT had this long time ago when they did customisable pre-order meals (where you selected your starter, main, dessert and a drink each separately). It was pretty neat, I miss it.

Another way to do it is the way OS handled their gourmet meals back in the day when there was a free catering but you could preorder hot meals in advance. They'd approach you right after the takeoff to verify that you're in the right seat and have a meal preorder and during that process would also ask you what drink you'd like. You then got that drink on the tray together with your meal. Once that was done, they begun the regular (non-preordered) service.

OK had (has?) drinks included with the preorder meal and would also serve them at the same time. Not preselected, but you would be given a choice from BoB.

There's a new Sky Bar in the seat pocket. New options like IPA, Aperol, Negroni etc. Wines are all different (albeit usual quality).

Unfortunately prices are up 10-20%.

Zywiec is gone.

Basia charging 30zl for one drink... wow. You can "indulge yourself" by choosing exactly what you need from a "tried and tested" combination of a Negroni and a Wawel milk bar with caramel filling.

Peanuts are more than just a snack, they are a little journey into the world of taste and aroma. Discover the true pleasure of crunching!

Imagine that someone gets paid for writing this nonsense.

SkyBar already didn't have Zywiec, that was C drink.

Heineken and Zubrowka were 30PLN in old prices, now would be 32. Then again I can get Nepomucen now, so.

I'm hoping it's ChatGPT drivel.

Sooorryyy LOT give meal for payment in BUS Class ? Just now reserve ticket from GDN to ATH and i see option to preorder nad pay 12 euro !

hugolover Jan 9, 2024 7:31 am

Fabo.sk you're quite right about Zywiec. It's only premium on SH, on LH it's the Y beer.

gioannis13 the route is new and the options won't be properly loaded. Not sure if ATH will get a hot meal, you'd hope so, if not booking one of the paid meals would be a good option!

New options like IPA...

Finally some real ale onboard. And from an actual brewery not a craft beer brewed by one of the big breweries. Well done LOT!!

Gluten free meal:

It was good. I would prefer a desert from one of the other ones, but obviously being gluten free it is what it is. I was surprised by how good the bread was, being both gluten free and prepackaged.
Mainly I enjoyed the high proportion of leafs and veggies in the meal, but the protein was also good.

As you can see I went ahead and tried the IPA. It wasn't as good as I hoped, but it was still lot better than Heineken.

Mr Ben Shapiro flew yesterday WAW-MIA, no doubt connecting from KRK where he attended the European Jewish Association conference at the DoubleTree Kraków and where he interviewed Mr Musk.

ET will launch WAW-ADD this July or so, flights not yet in GDS.

hugolover you are the resident expert on LOT, it looks like I have been automatically reseated between 12th and 14th row (possibly for the second time) to keep in the exit. Is this a function of seating engine they have now?

(Looking at the BPs the printer is spitting out, whole rows 12 and 14 might just have been swapped)

hugolover Jan 29, 2024 8:34 am

Yeah it’s been that way for a long time, Altea does it.
