Sounds like any other large airport. If we can zip thru Pearson in Toronto and Heathrow in London, LAX should be a breeze.

Not sure where we will stay. We have family in Malibu and the valley. Plus we want a couple of days in San Diego. So probably all over the place. Just want to relax for the 11 days we are there (minus 1 day for Indiana Jones at Disney, 1 day for Outlet Shopping)l

Yeah. There's a big outlet in Camarillo near Malibu.

+1.

Jasper is much more natural then Banff.

Never new there were Sunbirds coming from LAX to YEG on a regular basis. Goodstuff!

LAX has significantly improved in the last couple of years.. Its not one of my favourite airports, but its not bad either.

If you are looking for an alternate, try SAN or SNA.
SNA is great :))

5TH trip to Cali in 3 years. Can't wait :)

Hope you have a great trip. My experience at LAX is similar to others, except for departing on Southwest, where the lines can be horrendous. Recently transferred from inbound intl Alitalia to DL. Even that wasn't too bad, as the inter-terminal shuttle came in about 5 minutes and took about 2 minutes to get from arrival terminal 2 to Delta domestic.

BTW, very few people who live in California use the term "Cali". A little like calling San Francisco "Frisco".

Yeah. WN terminal 1 in LAX is horrendous. I flew out on US a month ago and it was painful and slow.

Frisco? I just refer to it as the bay area. The other side is SoCal or just LA.
