Does elite status help with LP?
Anybody have any thoughts/experiences on whether LP elite status helps with getting awards, special attention, etc. with LP or its member/partners?
If so, is it worth a year-end mileage run?
Thanks.

I thought being an elite-tier member might help, so I had some post-bonus activity credited to my LatinPass account in order to qualify. Unfortunately it never got credited. Two faxes, one letter, and three months later they still haven't managed to post it!
Going for elite status with LP just isn't worth it, IMHO. First, it would be a miracle if they actually posted the flights within six months after taking them. Second, you probably wouldn't receive your elite card until after it expired!
I've given up all hope with LatinPass.

If you live in a LatinPass country then I think it would be worth it as it does give you lounge access. Plus, 50% bonus miles on economy class looks good especially with discounted redemption levels.
If you travel a lot in Latin America then it may be worth it.
