Codeshare seat selection help
Hello,
I haven't been able to select a seat on an upcoming flight for my girlfriend so we can sit together. We are both flying LA704 in J, but my ticket was bought on LAN so I was able to select seat right away, but hers through Iberia (075 ticket, marketed as IB 7322). Latam Preferente wasn't able to select a seat for her, and Iberia told me they can't assign seats on codeshares.
I was able to load her itinerary using the IB PNR on Latam's website (for some reason it took me to the Brazilian one), but seat selection was not available for that flight.
I was able to open the PNR on QR, BA and AY websites, and can select seat for any segment, except this one.
Any ideas on how can I get someone to assign her a seat?

Talk to an agent at Iberia. Try to find the highest-up, most-knowledgeable agent you can access. They may be able to get you a seat assignment.
(I run into a similar situation with LATAM flights booked as AA codeshares on AA-issued tickets. I'm not able to book seats on either AA or LATAM websites for those legs, but knowledgeable AA agents have been able to get me seat assignments.)
