myVEGAS Facebook Game - Free Rooms, Shows, Buffets, etc

For those who aren't familiar with this game, myVEGAS is a free facebook game that rewards you with actual rewards for playing the game. You can earn anything from a deck of playing cards, to free rooms and buffets, and even picking a song for the Bellagio fountain. I've played about 3 months, and my wife about 2, and we've accumulated over $700 worth of comps, so you guys should definitely check it out. And the thing about this game, it's actually fun and addicting. You basically either play slots or blackjack to earn comps!

Website to get you started, www.myvegasadvisor.com

Join the myVEGAS Gifts, Guides & Giveaways group page. Ask questions, lots of people there to help. If you head down to the 5000+ chip thread, there's someone who always updates it with the latest chips. You should be able to start off with over 30,000 chips right there if you're a beginner.

Let me know if you guys have any questions, I'll try to answer best I can.

I want to update you guys, I'm up to about 480k LP now but never have chips. Only time I can really play is if I hit a good daily spin lol.

corky Dec 18, 2012 1:31 pm

I have been playing for about a month & have also won rewards which I can redeem for free rooms or vip to a club or shows. And it is the kind of thing I can just let run in the background at work & check in once in a while. I have found that the best pay off is Excalibur game.
Have you figured out how to add people who are already my FB friends & play MyVegas to my MyVegas friend list so I can send them gifts? I don't get it. And here is a good feature--I redeemed an award or a club & ended up not using it when I was in Vegas last month & they just redeposited my points after I contacted them. I haven't paid a penny out of pocket & won't but the rewards are adding up. It's fun.

bobu Dec 18, 2012 6:35 pm

Yeah, that's why I love this game too. Free comps are always nice. And your friends should be in your myVEGAS friend list already, not sure why it isn't. Add your name to the add your name thread, you'll get way more friends that way.

OK I used my husband's FB account (which is only for maximizing FB promos) to do this as we will be transiting Vegas in late summer and it would be nice to get free show tickets and nice dinners. It seems that all the free rooms on offer are Sun-Thur only. I've been playing mostly Excalibur and Lucky Birds and in less than 24 hours have gotten 3800 loyalty points with no cash outlay. It's a fun little diversion to do during ad breaks on tv.

you're doing better at it than I am, although I know I'm missing a bit by rejecting all the share-with-friends stuff. (I don't like it when I keep getting such stuff from Farmville, I'm not going to inflict it on people that aren't going to be in Vegas.)

bobu Dec 20, 2012 11:23 pm

Best thing to do is make a fresh new Facebook account to play the game. This way you don't have to worry about all the spam you might receive or dish out, and you can maximize on all your chips.

Why does Facebook tolerate spam-spewing apps that encourage this sort of thing?

My husband doesn't use Facebook, his account is exclusively for promos and games so no one on my real friends list is getting spammed. They have been pretty generous with bonus chips. I have the best luck with the Lucky Birds game. I just wish they would introduce a higher level for free rooms that includes weekends.

How much interaction does Lucky Birds take? One good thing about the slot game is it will pretty much run itself.

I doubt they'll do it for weekends, they are probably giving away what they can't sell.

Because it's the only way they can make money. @:-)

WagerWorks

Any of you remember this program? The Facebook one sounds a lot like the old WagerWorks. A lot of people scored some great rewards, like nights at Mirage, or Bellagio or Treasure Island. Buffets, shows and tours too.

xenole Dec 24, 2012 1:10 am

I've tried a few games and had moderate luck.
Can never find all 6 items on the Jules Verne bonus game, the Angry Brids one is boring as is the farming one, the Excalibur one gives the most bonuses and Blackjack seems to give the dealer 20 rather a lot.

Since yesterday, I haven't seen a single "V" for building mis-located casinos and wins have dropped to near zero.

First time posting on FT... I'm going to vegas Jan 3... let's see how much I can win with this until then =P thanks OP

tvelinsk Dec 28, 2012 7:46 am

My Mom and I both started playing back in October and were able to redeem for the following on our trip last week without ever purchasing any points:
Dinner at THE Steakhouse at Circus Circus: $150
2 Lunch Buffets at Bellagio: $43
2 high tea experiences at Bellagion: $74

I cannot imagine they are going to be keeping the redemption prices where they are - that just seems like a huge amount of stuff they are giving away for playing a Facebook game for a few months. Add in that you can earn 50,000 points a day by clicking the links that people have been so kind to post in the MyVegas Friends and the MyVegas Friends and Deals groups, my guess is that redemption levels may be shooting up in the near future.

xenole Dec 28, 2012 1:00 pm

I'm sure a lot of it is to tempt you in by staying at the hotel in queston to enjoy your meal etc.
Same with supermarkets. Sell something cheaply, you go in to buy it and end up spending loads of $$$ on other things.

It's taken me a week to get around 5500 points and that's from playing now and again.

Not being that local to LV, I would end up staying a few nights so if I were to get a one night redemption at say the Bellagio, I would most probably end up staying there for a couple more paid nights because of that, spend in their casino etc.

Yeah, I'm sure it brings in tourist business. There's also that eternal attempt to sell you horribly overpriced chips that I suspect sucks some gamblers in.

bobu Dec 29, 2012 12:46 pm

Haha Loren, you are probably right, but there's enough methods floating around that you usually don't need to buy chips. I easily average over 100k in chips a day now...doesn't seem to last very long though.

Buying chips is far more expensive than the benefits you can get from the loyalty points. I can't imagine buying points. However, I'm sure some slot addicts do.

The tips file on the group says that until you're IIRC level 58 your best bet is 200 at a time--I've been letting it autoplay most of the day and I still have chips left! I've made over 3000 loyalty points also.

Dest Dec 29, 2012 9:55 pm

I got on this game 5 days ago and have already racked up over 17,000 LPs and am level 32 with 84k reds.

Here is my simple guide:
- Join the MVFD group and add as many people as possible while following the rules
- Click on all links in the group area that give free points
- Wait until you have about 4k-5k in chips stacked up
- Go into black jack and bet all 5k, if you win bet the 10k, if you lose go rack up 5k on the links again
- Now with just 2 bets hopefully you have 20k in chips, now go play the excalibur game on 300 a spin and you will rack up points
- If you tap out start over, if you get over 75k move to 600 a spin

bigguyinpasadena Jan 1, 2013 9:36 am

So has anyoe had anything bad(bugs/excessive spam/hacked FB account)happen to them by playing this game?

xenole Jan 1, 2013 12:59 pm

I've tried playing Black Jack and end up losing 75% of the time.
Amazing how many 10s/picture cards there are in a pack of cards.
If I stick on 17-19, 99.999% of the time, the dealer gets 20 or 21.
If I have 12+, 99.9999% of the time I will bust with 22+.

Sometimes I do Ok on the slots - other times you win nothing or the odd 20 for a bet of 300.

Where are you joining this MyVegas Friends? And does that mean that I have to add a bunch of strangers to my FB account? So far I have racked up over 70,000 loyalty points...will easily clear 100,000 by my next trip to Vegas.

I agree, would be nice to get free stuff, but I just came across this post and am intrigued by some of the offers. For instance, I can get 2 nights at Aria for 200,000 points, which would cost $160. $80 a night for Aria seems like a great deal. I'm going in a few weeks, so I'd rather just pay the $160 and book the room than all the time it would take to win the points.

Has anyone redeemed points for a room? Just want to make sure this is legit.

Inside Facebook. Search for "MyVegas Friends" and "MyVegas Friends and Deals" groups in Facebook. You have to be approved to join - they will usually approve within just a few minutes.

You do not have to add any strangers as friends to your Facebook account, but you will receive more points each day if you do (50 points a day for each friend that sends you a gift, and a multiplier on your daily spin based on how many friends you have). There are threads on both the groups above with people who would like to be added as friends in the game. If you friend these people you can put them on your 'restricted' list so that they cannot see any of your info or status updates. You can turn off seeing their 'newsfeed' so you will not see their updates, either.

I have not redeemed for a room, but did redeem for $260 worth of food during my trip before Christmas. Definitely legit - posters all over the participating casinos promoting MyVegas, and I even saw a billboard on Sahara near I-15. Keep in mind with the room rewards they are all for Sun-Thurs only.

I can't imagine what you are looking at. Are you perhaps mixing up the chips and the loyalty points?

I see no offer that costs $160. $99 gets 202,013 chips and 9000 points, $199 gets 600,000 chips and 20,000 points. Buying chips is a *MAJOR* ripoff.

xenole Jan 2, 2013 2:15 pm

Just been looking at some of the rooms and, the Luxor for example, only offers the rooms Sun-Thurs so no good for a weekend stay.
THe more expensive rooms seem to be fine except for the odd blackout date that has already gone or mut be during an Expo or something.

Yeah, that's what I have heard others saying--the good dates are going to be blacked out. They're only making available inventory they don't expect to sell otherwise.

bobu Jan 4, 2013 4:52 pm

I think the point of this game is to give out stuff they can't sell. I mean if they give out stuff they can sell, they're gonna end up losing money. This model works for now, and I rather they keep a working model, then one that ends in 6 months.

Loren Pechtel Jan 4, 2013 5:14 pm

Yeah, I would likewise prefer this. So long as you have an extra screen to throw it on it doesn't really take that much time--mostly it just sits there running. When I notice that it needs some prodding I do so.

xenole Jan 5, 2013 6:59 am

Are all the hotels Sun-Thurs then? The Luxor and some others mention this yet nothing on the others that I can see (not high enough level etc). Don't want to redeem and then find out I can't stay on a Fri/Sat.

A few of the rewards seem to be selling out as well. Not sure if and when they refresh them.
Going to be in Vegas 3 weeks today so it would be ideal to have something in place.

You don't need to redeem to see the restrictions - click on the reward, then click 'next', and you can read the terms and conditions. I have not seen any room awards for other than Sun-Thurs except when they had awards for specific dates right before Christmas.

The awards seem to be restocked at 3am EST, but I can't say whether each award is restocked every day.

xenole Jan 6, 2013 6:18 am

Is there actually anything decent to redeem for? Other than the company of the leggy blonde at the cognac tasting, I've no real interest in wine pairing or suchlike. The food credit would be good although a lot of negative reviews about with regards to some places.

You can get $150 at 3 different steak houses for 75,000 points. I think that is pretty good for playing a free game for a couple of months!

There are some good shows on there.

I've been playing the Jewels Verne slots on auto, just having to jump in when it's time do find hidden objects. We only have 1 night in Vegas in Aug on a Saturday in transit to elsewhere so doesn't look like we can get a free room. I'd be happy for a pair of show tickets and some free food.

I wish someone would make a similar game for free luaus in Hawaii!

What's involved in picking up the show tickets? They say you have to do it by 4pm. If our flight is on time, won't be a problem but we are on Copa from Panama and if the flight is late we would be late picking up the tickets.

I just play the Studio City game as it seems to win a bit more although hit and miss whether you get anything major.

Up to Lvl45 now and needing over 1/2million to advance a level now.

I looked at the show tickets things but my flight gets in in the evening so would miss that 4pm deadline. It seems to give the impression you go to the desk with a printout but no idea about where you'll be sitting although I'm guessing it will be somewhere cheaper.

Most of the buffets shut around 10-11pm so that limits when you can go.
I'm leaving on the Sunday afternoon so could always squeeze breakfast in or make sure I'm there for lunch around 11am.
Not sure if this game will keep going or to trade points now rather than lose them in 4 months time when I next visit LV.

Added: Just made a redemption for $75 F&B ay NYNY. Easy enough to do. You need to join MLife if not already a member and then take some ID and your redemption number to the Mlife booth to collect a reward slip.
No idea which outlets are/aren't included but I'll find out when I'm there in 2 weeks.

I personally hate the jewels verne game. It takes too much effort for the bonuses. The easiest game to play is probably Studio City. Just let it run until the bonuses hit, then take 10 seconds to choose it, then repeat.

xenole Jan 9, 2013 1:02 am

How do you get to play that New York taxi game?

corky Jan 9, 2013 10:47 am

It seems Excalibur has the biggest wins. If you don't care about it being boring (which I don't cause I just put it on auto spin), that is the best way to earn points fast. I can never find those stupid objects on Jules Verne.
