Thats really not that bad of a deal for those who fly private. If your going through NetJets or Marquis your roughly going to pay $8000 for 2 hours flight time for a small plane. Even if your catching a ride on a deadhead then it still going to be $4-6K each way. This is giving you flexibility and if your coming from the east coast it will be an even greater value. I know orivate is not something considered much on these forums but, considering the extras its a great package for that niche market.
|
I'd rather rough it in coach, take a taxi and take my chances with all the leftover money at the tables. Now if Cher was 40 years younger with the same physique and accompanied the package....
|
one way max is ~4.5 hours and ~2500 miles so i presume they would just do a stop with a smaller jet. no clue what all they own.
(6 jets in early 2007 - http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m.../ai_n20165149/) |
That's a fantastic deal if you fly private. 9 hours in a small jet is easily $20-25K. The room, tickets and meals are gravy.
But again, only if you're already shelling out the $ for a private jet. I'd be right there next to kingalien with $18K or so at the craps table! :D |
you can also look at it the other way - paying for room and getting private jet
|
Is it true that Cesarīs Palace reserves the Villas only to people who intend to spend about $ 100k?
How much do they charge for those? |
they claim $40K/nt  (reminiscent of palms fantasy tower)
they claimed the 6BR penthouse was not bookable as well IIRC MikeE recently said they sometimes offer the 4BR penthouse really cheap as an upgrade at checkin it seems to me that the 3 new villas and the 6BR are most likely negotiable as usual (until the 6BR was launched they always said theyll book anything) (wynncore is the only one to be really clear on not booking 6>19 of their accommodations) caesars DOES have a vegas first though - the bacchus pool is invite-only  |

No can do
The only way I would consider this would be if there was a wedding involved.
Otherwise, $20K for 3 nights? Just not in my league.:( |

anyone know what kind of jets harrahs owns?
I do recall some tax issues with the purchase/transfer of jets in the past year. They also have a rewards credit rate (IIRC: 450,000 RCs per hour) if you desire to use your banked points to book a Harrah's jet to a casino.

Caesar's Palace Roman Tower Executive suite info plz
Hi all,
Im new here, but Ive been to Vegas at least 3-4 times a year. Im going for my birthday in August and I booked a 2 bedroom Roman Tower Executive Suite at Caesar's Palace. I can't find any info about the suite on their website or any 3rd party sites. I was wondering if anyone on here has any info on this room? As in is it nice? Good view? Amenities and features of room? Update to date entertainment (as in TVs Plasma, LCD, or the boxy ones?)? Cleanliness? The only reason I ask is I have a bunch of friends coming along and Im booking 3-4 rooms in the Roman Tower. I know it was one of the first towers built, but Ive read reviews online that most people didnt like the cleanliness of the room, bad matresses, smelly, old furniture, etc. If this is true I might have to consider witch towers or hotels. Thanks for any help! |
Caesars Roman Ritual Spa Day Pass
Can someone tell me what the pass entitles you to? I'm not a spa person and the only thing I've figured out from looking at various sites is that it gives you access to the spa and the fitness center. They also talk about something called the Romans Baths. I have no idea what that is. I know most things (massages) cost extra.
Any spa experts out there? Thanks |
I actually go to Qua every time I go to Vegas. I love it! It is about $40 for a day pass, and they have one room that has 3 different pools in it. One hot, one cold, and one just right (the biggest one). There are heated stone lounge chairs in that room. It is my favorite. Totally serene. I love to soak, read a book, nap. They have bottles of water and towels readily available in this room. Down the hall there is a tea room and snack bar. Fruit, ice tea, juices and pretzels. The tea room offers custom brewed blends. Really delightful. Past the tea room is the other tub room, with just one giant, hot mineral tub. Also just past this tub is hallway with mulitiple rooms. There is an ice room, a euclyptus steam room and a sauna room. When you are done indulging, they have a wonderful shower/makeup room. Take a multi jet shower, shave and moisterize, brush your teeth, do your hair. Everything you need is right there. Truly a pampering experience. Should you choose to have a massage or treatment then all of the above is included so basically you could say your treatment was $40 less than usual:) Yes, I am a big fan, and highly recommend the experience. PS Lots of ladies running around naked, but I am not comfortable doing so, and wore a suit as did plenty of other ladies.

I am in the same boat. I just booked the "roman tower executive suite" and connecting "spa suite" for Labor day. the combo of the two rooms was what they called a "two bedroom executive suite" They could not give me any links to pictures or any info other than it is 1400 sq feet (+450 for the adjoining spa suite). two seating areas, piano, wet bar, and a parlor. The only thing I found was this you tube video it seems it has everything described minus the piano... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfQEhon3CrM
if you have gotten any info on it since posting I would appreciate it. Or if you could take some pictures after your stay and send them my way that would be awesome. thanks |
some additional Caesars suite accommodation information can be found HERE.

The comments after the linked article are great.
BTW I prefer off strip properties for many reasons. |
I like off-strip (Orleans) for the fact it's close enough to strip, but far enough to avoid traffic.
So some quick google searches, the Octavius tower will just be a newer tower of the cheaper rooms with Caesar branding? Or am I reading into the articles incorrectly? |

According to this Gadling article, the new tower will actually be a higher-end offering. It will have a separate entrance and lobby, iPad interfaces, etc.
Maybe the introductory procing during a slow period (CES week excepted) confused some people. Caesars Entertainment has plenty of budget-priced rooms right across the street, after all. |
Yeah totally aGREED. Caesars Entertainment obviously considers Caesars Palace to be their high-end property in that neighborhood. They wouldn't want to cheapen the CP brand by adding steerage-class rooms over there.
Especially when they have dumps like Imperial Palace and Bills right across the street. If they need more cheap rooms they should bulldoze those first. And maybe even (*gasp*) Flamingo too. -RJ |
Caesars Palace/LV Observations
I hadn't been to LV in 18 months even while living in nearby Scottsdale. I probably visited more often (~10 nights a year) when I was living on the east coast.
I went with my GF last Sunday (we were doing a road trip) and Monday nights. I have to say while I enjoy LV a number of things have gotten progressively worse and are reasons while I don't really crave visiting there anymore and would prefer a trip to Europe. We had a deal with Caesars that included 24 hrs of buffets. I never get my money's worth on those things but since it was included we ended up visiting Caesars, Rio and Harrahs. I'm sure it won't surprise anyone that Caesars buffet is very bad. Cold or at best warm food, limited choices and marginal quality. It is at the Lago Cafe which had bad service and food when it was a 24 hr cafe so nothing has changed there. Obviously Rio was extremely good with the selection and having hot food. Harrahs was a solid ok. The games the hotels play to try and take a few bucks off you is tiresome. Obviously Caesars doesn't have the ridiculous resort fee but that doesn't stop them from trying to get a few dollars from the minibar. They tried to get us for coffee and some snack item at checkout. Neither of us used the minibar nor do we drink coffee. Having sensors that seem sensitive to motion is an easy way to charge people for items they never used. The front desk took off the charges. I'm sure other people probably pick up items before they read the small sign that is located behind the items. Check in time was suppose to be 4pm so we showed up a little after 4pm only to be told the room wasn't ready (kind of defeats the check in time doesn't it?). Then they had to constantly tell us the room we were getting was the most sought after room (Augustus Tower with a jacuzzi and a view of the Bellagio fountains). Personally I think if a room isn't ready at the time the hotel specifies that check in time is, then you should get an apology and maybe a free drink/dessert/etc. Not an excuse that it is most sought after. After 30 minutes they called me to let me know the room was ready. The room was very nice and except for the minibar annoyance we didn't have any issues. The room safe is quite small and located in the closet wall which makes it a bit tougher to get to. I've never been a big fan of Caesars casino, nor of the staff and nothing really changed there. It is like they want to be considered elite but things such as the buffet and lack of consistency of quality service seems to lack behind places like the Bellagio. The pussycat dolls at the tables were a nice sight to see but certainly wouldn't cause me to change where I would gamble (either some place like Bellagio or lower end at Monte Carlo). We had a nice time, won a few dollars and enjoyed the sights. We saw the show at the Wynn (Le Reve) which was nice (seemed to have a number of empty seats but maybe that is normal for a Monday night). Just my 2 cents. |
It sounds like your problems were more with Caesar's than Las Vegas as a whole. Also, it's pretty unfair to say you'd rather travel "to Europe" than Vegas--how can a single city (one largely based on imitation, skin-deep shallowness, and tackiness overall) compare to an entire continent filled with history, heritage, varied georgraphy and culture, and sophistication?
Don't take this the wrong way, because I like visiting Scottsdale, but that suburb is also a bastion of shallowness and insecure wealth flaunting. Perhaps Las Vegas felt too much like home? |
Seen at Caesar's Palace this past weekend...
$5 for a 20 oz cup of coffee in the food court area leading to the Forum Shoppes. |

Is there really a difference in the actual casinos? Other than superficial stuff like outfits on the drink servers or piped in smells/songs I find every casino I've ever been inside, in Vegas, in Reno, in Macau and in Singapore to be exactly the same. Were it not for the chips with the casino name on it I would have no idea if I'm at the Eldorado Reno or Bellagio when rolling at a craps table and frankly if I'm rolling at a craps table I wouldn't care where I was as long as I was hitting my numbers! :D

All casinos look alike. Finding the one that consistently pays you is what you should be looking for  :)
|
If you care about good service, then stay at a place known for it like Mandarin or the Four Seasons. You're complaining that a lower tier property felt like, well, a lower tier property.

How long does it take Caesar's Palace Las Vegas to refund the deposit on a cancelled reservation?
