Schiphol being a Skyteam bastion is completely given up by Star Alliance?

I'm flying AMS-LIS on TP as *G. When I take a look at the lounge guide I would have acces to the KLM lounges which sounds odd to me. Can someone confirm?
Star alliance lounge finder suggests the Servisair lounge. |

If you want to see what lounge is used at a particular location, you should go to the website of the airline in question. Here is the list of lounges used by TAP which answers your question (I had a little laugh at what they have listed as the AMS lounge for Gold members!!! :D). |

What "lounge guide" are you talking about?

Ow damn, the lounge expired according the TP's guide :-D According to Star Alliance lounge finder it's the Servisair lounge. |

I refer to post #4 of this thread.
It cites www.schiphol.nl as the source for the data - and you can check the current page on TP held at the Schiphol website to verify if this might have changed in the past 8 years!

Best not to rely on old information from third-party sources; the operating airline website should always be your first port of call. |

Post #4 in this thread - which dates from almost 8 years ago - lists TAP as using Servisair Lounge 20; not the KLM lounge as you claim.
I'll head out for the Aspire 20 then Saterday. Used the Aspire 41 before when flying BR. Thanks for the advice ! |

TAP is indeed listed under Servisair 20. But Star *G is listed under the KLM lounge.
LOT is handled by KLM at AMS. This was so in 2008 and it remains so today. Star Alliance golds can access the Crown Lounge only when flying with LOT (though I suspect that if your *G was with a programme other than Miles & More you may have difficulty gaining access). You are flying with TAP so all that matters to you is which lounge is contracted by TAP. This is also confirmed by the Star Alliance lounge finder which shows that only LOT customers have access to the KLM Crown Lounge. When the lounges in question are "contract" or third party lounges, you really do have to be flying on the airline in question - you cannot "lounge hop" as you could when it is an alliance or alliance-member lounge, and you cannot access any of the other lounges that any other Star Alliance partner may have a contract with, even the lounge contracted by the airline in which you hold status (unless it happens to be the very same lounge that the airline you are actually travelling on has contracted, too). http://i68.tinypic.com/1zoykwi.jpg Safe travels! |
