Reservation hotline in Germany changes

In Germany, the KLM/NW reservation line changed from their way-too-expensive premium reservation number 0190/... back to the 0180 / 320 42 09 at €0.09/min.

May be it is only because of a higher number of calls for rescheduling during war times, however I strongly suggest to KLM that it stays there afterwards as well, as a premium phone number really turns away your customers!! - especially when the internet service booking engine is not very good at the same time!

Now it is even cheaper than before, what a pleasant surprise !!

The 0190 experiment was ridiculous, it took KLM some months to realise that, but at least they changed it.However one has to admit that the waiting time was really short with the 0190 number, definitely shorter than before, where a 5 minute wait was no surprise.....

They tried the same thing in Denmark, where it also took them several months to realize their mistake.

Last time I was in Sweden, you had to call a phone sex-type area code to reach KLM - have they reverted to common sense there as well? Mind, if you call them on their normal number in the UK now, you get told to call a premium rate number for automated departure/arrivals information (I stayed on the line and was given the same information for the cost of a normal phone call by a live person).

Well, with an automated pre-recorded voice system they might as well be...

Why is KLM Germany not able to connect you at weekends and at night to another Call Center? I don`t mind having only English speaking agents available, that is much better than being told to call back Monday 9am. Luckily I am able to call the Elite Desk in the Netherlands, however it is also only available from Mon-Sat.

Does KLM even have 24/7 phone service?
