FD earning by residency comparison tables/Excel worksheet

hi all,

thanks to kurz for posting the great data. i've pasted them into Excel and created some comparison tables for all zones and residence areas for C and Y, with the residency for best points highlighted. a plain html table is available here:

http://dxm.org/flyertalk/FD-earning-comparison.htm

that page links to an "interactive" html version (not sure what all you can do, but it's an IE feature) as well as an Excel workbook file you can download.

please feel free to copy, edit etc. just don't put my name on anything. as you noticed, it's not on this file either - i don't want klm taking revenge ;-)

best,
rishab

Where do we find a listing of the 'zones' A and on up? Thanks for your work!

thanks, threy!

the next thing i'll add there is a points multiple table (points you need to buy award ticket on route X) / (points you earn on paid ticket on route X).

points multiples are what make any FF programme comparable. i want to compare FD to SAS EB - where a points multiple is really very easy to calculate (6.5, for delhi-europe which i have flown very often, as against 8 for FD on the same route with indian residency and 20 with dutch residency).

best,
rishab
ps. as you can imagine, my interest in FD is increased since i'm committing my next few trips to KLM partners in order to copy my EBG miles; without the transfer offer i think i really wouldn't fly KLM - not for the FF programme, at least.

Thanks rishab! This is great and a comparison table would be even better. Maybe we FT'ers could find a way to add more comparison airlines. I would volunteer for the LH comparison.

Mail me if you want to...
