Let's start this one again !!
Assuming BA do eventually get their hands on KLM, how do you think the transfer of FD points will be handled, 1:1 ?, lounge benefits ?, Royal = Gold ? NW Upgrades ?Opportunity to go back to WorldPerks or tranfer to Continental ? And so it goes on...

For the transfer/comp of points on the actual comp-offer it's in their descretion to calculate "exchange rates" for points/miles.
But if they combine programms, than they should really have a fair exchange-rate to not set up their customers.
In my opinion one FD point is at least worth 2 miles (based on points/miles for AMS-NYC or AMS-SFO).

Perhaps they should apply the same redemption rate that BA applied when they converted from Air Miles - 14:1 or perhaps the one used when they took our NW accounts and stuck them in to KLM. I have to say that I don't remember that rate!
