Anyone have recent experience with KLM refunds - how long did it take for you to get your money back? Thx

Requested refund of a cancelled May booking online on Tuesday 23 Feb and received refund on Amex card yesterday! Today I received confirmation that my refund request was granted, one day after receiving it. Very impressed.

Can I ask how you requested the refund? I had a flight scheduled on KLM for June 6, 2020 that was cancelled on April 16, 2020. I contacted KLM and was told my only option was a credit that would become refundable if not used after 12 months. So I looked on the KLM site after April 16, 2021 and did not see an option to redeem my now refundable flight credit. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I went online and selected the cancel my flight option. I had to enter our ticket numbers and name. I never opted for a voucher.

I thought you’d be able to ask for a cash refund only during the one year validity of the voucher. Not sure! You were told you could only request cash refund after the one year validity .

Hopefully some one has experience of requesting the refund of the ‘refundable’ voucher.

Thanks, I tried this even though it was a UK link and I am in the US and put in my reservation and last name and got a message that I had requested a voucher (not really true since I was given no choice) and listed the voucher numbers. The page then shows a link where you can use them for new travel and a link to request a cash refund. For some reason the page said I needed to use a form to request a refund so I filled out the form which required me to enter the voucher numbers, original reservation, name and reason. Once I filled this out there are two buttons (Continue) and (Submit) after which I was told my request had been successfully received and I would receive an email.
We will see what happens.
