HV operates a fleet renewal policy where they take delivery of one new 737 in spring, and retire an old one in autumn. That gives them an extra aircraft every year for the busy summer season, but since that is not enough, they have borrowed three more from KL this year, and leased a further three elsewhere.

I flew HV recently and the interior was very tired, and seat pitch quite bad. I dont think that KLM wil ever borrow these. At least not without retrofitting other seats.

I had the bad luck of flying on an HV plane Ams-Ist a few years ago, when KL had borrowed it from HV. Still Europe Select, but with the HV seat pitch etc. As bad as AF NEO or LH NEK!
