I love jetBlue and I love the eager service onboard. However, I do not want jokes.

Best advice I can give you is the same as an AA pilot gave his passengers on a Sunday afternoon flight last October from DFW to EWR. Right before he gave out the scores for all the NFL games that day, he stated, "For all you football fans, here's today's scores. If you're not a football fan, either close your ears or just put up with me for the 90 seconds because I'm giving out the scores anyway." Each passenger has different tastes. Most people rather get from point "A" to point "B" in a relax atmosphere rather than in an uptight, tense one. If it takes a joke, or maybe even football scores, to make a couple more people relax, then so be it. Just bare with the inflight crew for those extra few seconds they are on the PA.

I miss the good-ol' days of WN with all the jokes... most were timed just right and there weren't too many. Most of the jokes listed here were once heard on WN by someone (look at WN's board), so I guess B6 can't make up any new ones.

That said, I still prefer a light atmosphere than the typical NW or US one where they always say things with a straight face. Oh, and I also prefer to have the flight attendants do their pre-flight dance rather than watching a stupid video.

As someone who has flown nearly 40,000 miles so far this year on B6 (after switching over from CO) I have found very little "shtick" on B6.

I have had a couple of instances where the captain has come out of the flight deck and addressed the passengers over the p/a system but face to face. I thought it was a nice personal touch.

I guess B6 reserves most of its shtick for the plane names, many of which are extremely clever.

btw, jetBlue is the best airline in America, and I fee lucky to live in NYC so I can fly them as frequently as possible.

I agree with TWA fan, and would like to clarify that I find the amount of humor on B6's flights just right most of the time. However, too much humor would, of course, be too much.

I was on a Southwest flight to Las Vegas where the stewardess faked an orgasm on the PA. I kid you not. It was a great flight and I suppose because it was Vegas she got away with it. Never got her name but I'd fly with her again :)

If anyone was a fellow flyer on April 22nd from IAH to Guatemala, you may remember the long delay at IAH that day, and it was funny because the CA announced, "If your travel plans are not taking you to San Juan, Puerto Rico, please advise the flight attendant, and we will gladly redirect you to your appropriate flight" . . . .HAHAHA!
That meant a FULL flight of people flying to Guatemala!!!!!

When we landed, THAT was funny! The CA announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Guatemala City where the time is 10:51 p.m. Please remain seated. The captain has advised us that we will be taxiing for the next few days .. . "
hyuk hyuk hyuk!
